File Name: Stargate (Gottlieb 1995)_DEV4_CAB.rar

File Submitter: Dozer316

File Submitted: 07 Oct 2015

File Category: VP/VPinMAME 9.x - MOD Tables

Author(s): hmueck, Dozer, ICPJuggla
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1995
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

This is a mod of hmueck's UHD Stargate table.

I did this mod about a year ago and had kind of forgotten about it until recently when I remembered it had a glider mech issue so I fired it up to see if I could fix that problem and after getting a positive result I've decided to release it.

The table has had Jimmyfinger's BMPR lite and ball rolling / collide routines added to it from memory as well as the flashers being upgraded, the AUX light board hooked up, some great looking mesh ramps by ICPJuggla and a primitive glider mech and pyramid lid added.  Some primitive Gottlieb flipper models have also been added and a few other tweaks here and there.

Many thanks to all the authors here who have taken the time to build and share models, code routines etc. with the community.

That's about all I can think of regarding this release so hope you all enjoy it.

Dozer.

Actually I think I goofed and put this in the wrong category - Could I get a mod to move to the cabinet area, this is not a desktop version.

Thanks Dozer! Glider looks perfect now!

I had some issues when I tried to play this. Flippers worked only every second time or so and sometimes they stayed up even after I released the button.

Also few times I managed to launch the ball in a way that it dropped out from this really weird place which never happens on the real machine (somewhere in the read area in this picture below)

Yes, it sounds like you might be playing the game with the wrong executable - sounds like you might be using Physics Mod 5 instead of Vanilla VP9.

I'm running vanilla 991. I restarted the game and flippers now works perfectly and I couldn't reproduce the ball launch thingy either.

Thanks Stat&Dozer

Hey Dozer, thanks so  much for the update it plays awesome on my cab. Any chance you could update the plunger to work with a virtual plunger? It makes the skill shot way better with the virtual plunger. Thanks!

Install the nvram file for Stargate from this archive, it allows you to coin up when you've not played the game before.

Sorry, other that that I don't know what would cause this issue.

What if you just add

const bsize = 25

into the script itself?
