I hope the release won't be a let down, as I have been waiting a long time for this release.  Will buy all tables if cabinet view works

Does this require a permanent internet connection on the cab then?

what exactly is steam? I looked on their site and all I found is it is a gaming thing

but some of it is free and some of it ain't...but what is it?

their site doesn't really explain what steam is

Steam is basically a PC app store managed by Valve corporation.  If you meet Valve's selling policies, you can make your game/app available to the general public through their Steam application which manages downloading, updates, payment, DRM...

I don't think cabinet view will be in the Nov 1 release, so we will need to find out after Nov 1st when they are planning that...

Haven't you heard? They had a working cabinet version at this year's Pinball Expo. So yeah, another thing to look forward to :)

Chris and I went up to Farsight Studios last Friday and we recorded another interview with Bobby King where we asked him about a lot of topics, including the PC version, Cab Support, and VirtuaPin:

Is it a timed release? 6:00 am here in Eastern Standard timezone and still no sign of Pinball Arcade on Steam...
