Hi  To All

I have started a cabinet build and have got visual pinball running sweet as a nut..I like the look of quite a few future pinballs but for the life of me cant get the playing filed full screen.

Heres what I've tried so far ( table i'm trying is Spiderman )

1: I obtain the tables ( the ones i got there seem to be many, spidermanblackDMD,spidermanstern etc etc ) I have tried them all

2: I have change the resolution to matchdisplay one and two and ticked Full Screen and arcade mode) No joy the playing field is tiny, Used scroll lock and 2,4,6,8 keys but it seems to just move it around the screen not strech it to screen size

3: Found the BAM mod and tried that..Thats works better but the playing filed is reallt thin..Fits long ways but not side to side.

I am obviously missing something but cant get this..Any help please and thank you

Sweet as a nut, never heard that one before.  You can try out FP tools from gopinball.   It will automatically resize FP tables.  You can also do it by hand with the scroll lock key and then the appropriate key for vert/horz stretch and center.  By hand is a pain, thats why I mentioned the "FP Tools".  Good luck

When in scroll lock mode use page up/dn to choose between moving and stretching

Hi Anfiach

Thankyou for your answer, Didnt know that it was the pageup/down next to the home and end buttons, I was trying the ones on the 3 an 9 on the number pad.

Another one..I have choose show backglass on second monitor and when I open FP I can see it in the translite area ( think thats what it said ) but when I run game i get now a full playing field ( yeah ) but no backglass image?

Thanks

The scroll lock menu also has settings for adjusting the backglass. Try moving around to see if the image is just off screen, also make sure the correct resolution is chosen for your bG monitor. In video settings click backbox make sure it is assigned to the correct monitor and adjust the resolution there. Other than that, not sure what it might be.

That sounds like what I have been looking for, a way to globally change the screen size for FP.  Slydog43, can you point out where or how to get this file from Gopinball?  I have tried that site many times and I have not been able to find anything.  Nice looking site but a total pain to navigate.  It just does not seem to be intuitive at all!

I've been using BAM and it works perfectly most of the time. In some tables where it does correctly fit you can make some adjustments through its menu.

Hi

I have got the playing field stretched but still no backglass:-

1: I have the rapidloader Spiderman which has the fpt as well as the other files for sound fonts extra, i have put all this in Tables folder in Future pinball

2: I have renamed them all to match the name of my HP Video and Backglass In hyperpin

3: When I run the game in the top left hand side theres a small picture of spiderman with the DMD underneath..But using Pg up and Down to select backglass height and scale it doesn't move as the numbers go up or down.

4: I have box tick use second monitor as backglass and has arcade mode and fullscreen ticked and resolution set to the same as the monitor under my nvidia settings on the pc, Also this screen is second on the nvidia display...The table runs fine and would really love to sort this so I can move on.

Thanks for any advice

More recent versions of BAM have a backglass setting which allows you to adjust the size and position of this also.

Sorry to go on about BAM, but, this future pinball addon has seriously change my opinion of future pinball and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Only the .fpt goes into the tables folder the other files go into the libraries folder and you dont change the names.

In BAM it states to use arcade mode....But if I use Fullscreen in either BAM or FP I do get a full playing field but a black Backglass and nothing I do or try doesn't seem to get it to appear...Its taking up to much time so think I will concentrate on getting my build finissh with VP then come back to FP.Thanks

Check all three Full screen, Arcade mode & Widescreen not  4:3. Try that.

Hi Shadowclassic

I have tried that already but will try again, If I remember right it still had a black back screen, My Graphics card is a Nvidia GT620 ( which plays VP fine and runs this Spiderman table great ) I have the vga connection to my playing field and HDMI to the backglass screen, I notice when I boot windows it uses the backglass screen as the boot screen even though when the pcs booted up the playing field has all my pc icons on..Could it be a screen setup problem..Just guessing at anything at this point, Also should I try a diffrent future pinball table ( this table could be at fault??

Also to add as per another thread I read I did this (  "/arcaderender" )

Told me to add this to the end of the text under futurepinball properties in the Target box.. Is this correct, Maybe I havn't done this correctly....AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH...so many possiblitys

Thanks

I haven't got a cabinet but on my 2 screen pc set up if I just click arcade render and fullscreen it works. Either it is the /arcaderender parameter or it may very well be a screen identification issue. My bios posts on the same screen as my main screen, you may have to try switching the physical inputs and changing them in your video card settings when in windows to ensure thAT THE PLAYFIELD IS ALWAYS #1

EDIT: I just reread your post about the inputs and I'm pretty certain that your issues lie with screen set  up and/or connection.

Now I have my first Future Pinball table full screen and backglass just one other question, ( I have tried to do this without success but wanted to try so not to bother you good people again ) As you can see from my last pic in my thread above you can see a picture of spiderman with a DMD under him, This is still on my playing filed, How can I remove it. I did try in the translite area but then when I run the table I got a script error about dmd at the top of my playing field. Thanks

Hi anfiach

I have found that if i open a table and move the dmd and picture just outside in the translite area its not on the playing field ,, since learning this I deleted the parts in my spidermn table, I have tried to delete the table and fpl files but fine if I redownload them and run them future pinball remembers my settings...Were does it store this information so I can delete it and start again with this table..Thanks
