I am able to recreate the settings in this issue on almost every game I play on this table. Everygame I have going on it, I start a mode and if I lose a ball, the game doesn't think that I lost the ball and the timer keeps counting down. I am running VP 915 (Desktop and cabinet, both have this issue). Does anyone else have this issue with this amazing table?

Actually, I've tried all versions. It used to work fine but now I always have this issue and can never finish a game anymore. :(

just a suggestion......1...check the hieght of the apron and the wall under the apron......apron 42/41, wall under apron 40/0.......if you want the apron can be 45/44 and the wall 40/0......the wall should be at least 40.....

2...use the control points on the wall under the apron to make a smooth delivery to the plunger......3....move the drain kicker if needed....4.....get a flipper from the editor.....center it on the kicker for the ball kick to the plunger......use the flipper start angle to check the kick angle to the plunger.......5....click on the drain or the kicker for the name then use the script edit search..... adjust the kick angle and strength in the script... sometimes i make the ballexit a little bigger if the kicker just barely fits..

How interesting to see someone report a problem with this game. I downloaded the most recent version just yesterday--the 2 pack version with Megapin 1.2 and another version--can't remember the name. Anyhow, when I try to play either version, the table will load but shortly after ball launch the whole machine locks up with a very obnoxious noise that blares without end. The only way to get out of it is to pull the plug and reboot. Control/Alt/Del doesn't even do anything. Really too bad--what I saw of that night version looked real good. I am playing on a Virutacab with 9.15---2 monitors plus Vishay if that matters at all.

I think only one of them, Faralos, is called Simpsons Pinball Party. ...if my memory serves me correctly. I didn't download any special vbs file...using the latest (1.42?) I have around 300 tables and never get any lockup on anything like this. Believe me ..the noise is BAD!

I have never made a VP9 version of the table, so the only version that is playable under VP9 is the version Groni (Megapin) made alone (based on our VP8 version). The version we made (Groni and I) was made for VP8 and older, and it will give you that sound, because of the way we use to made the end of the ramps in VP8. Actually 99% of the VP8 tables with ramps, the ball will completely stop at the end of the ramp and it will give you that repeated sound.

So use Groni's VP9 version, or the MODS unclewilly made (night mod and the FS mod).

Jp--the version I'm using is FS MOD2 pack 1.1. . These are the Uncle Willy mods. With either version included in that pack, I get the bad results I talked about. Thanks for your help

FS MOD2 pack 1.1 works for me in XP......no problem starting and loading the ball in the plunger after the drain.....i get an "overflow line 0"  error when i use the L/R nudge on a KB......as long as i dont use the nudge on the KB it loads and plays......probably because i have no card.....HS RAM only.....i have had a few tables in the past that had problems.....typed a _1 after the existing table before i deleted to recycle bin....extracted a new copy out of the zipped.....the new copy worked ok.....

Hmmm--I'll download it again and give it a try. And what's a_1 after table exit?

It just keeps happening. The issue is not during just any modes but it's during multiball. I just downloaded the Megapin versions of the desktop version and the the 2 pack of the FS tables and it still has that issue.

Maybe you should download again as well. I really didn't think that would fix my issue...I mean the table loaded and would start to play, but very shortly ...within ten to fifteen seconds it'd lock up. Since I downloaded again its working fine after like a dozen games. Hope you get your issue straightened out..it's a fun table

bob>>>>>>Hmmm--I'll download it again...whtas the _1 for

sorry,  it was late......the _1 after the table name is because you cannot have 2 files in the same folder with the same name.......i had 2 options.....do the _1 then extract another copy or delete to recycle bin then restore if i want it back......maybe its possible if the PC goes online the files get corrupted......my PB desktop does not go online.....the problems stopped......keep it cleaned out and do a disk check 1x per month......

Every game I play of "The Simpsons Pinball Party" ends in disaster. Multiball never ends even after ball drain (same issue as before). I hate to do this but I think I'll stop playing this one because of this horrible "multiball glitch". :(

sorry to hear you still have trouble......it plays on my XP ok with no card and HS RAM only......get another copy from the zipped and see if it works.......i have had a few tables that did not work well after the extraction from the zipped......i use the extractor on my PC.....maybe the tables are not extracting proper.....are you using something else to extract from the zipped folder?

i was looking at your specs above.....the GT610 is for watching videos and movies.....its not even close to a gaming card.....the 50series and up are better cards....00 to 40 is not good for gaming......

I also think it may have something to do with your graphics card or lack thereof

if it starts then locks up it sounds like your g(raphics) card

can't handle the graphics involved to run the pin

try a better g card

and make sure that the pin you are playing or trying to is  running in the correct version of vp

vp8 tables for the most part don't play in vp9 too well

some do but it is really trial and error which do and which ones don't

and the ones that don't will give you all sorts of odd errors

hope you get it all sorted out

oh for zipped folders I use 7zip a freeware program

http://www.7-zip.org/

remember too that the roms stay zipped in their respective folder

media packs are music and go into the music folder

any vbs files  go into the tables folder

Faralos,

Thank you for responding. My graphics card is awesome and can play any game that I throw at it. I only have the issue with this particular table with the "multiball glitch". So, I don't think that's the issue at all. Anyway, I will try to make sure that it is running with the correct version of VP. I will let you know if this works better.
