I've got to start out by saying that this table now plays super smooth with absolutely no stuttering (that includes during multi-ball) without me having to change any settings on my 8 year old computer (Pentium 4, 2.8GHz, 1GB RAM, GeForce FX 5200 128MB). I don't know how you did it, but I for one am very grateful for this improvement. Thanks JP. MIKE

Hey JP i was just looking at this table. Did you try using imagemodeworld on the transparent ramp at the plunger lane. I think it gives it a much nicer look as a transparent ramp. Just a thought. I appreciate your hard work on the tables. Thank you for inspiration on making realistic looking tables. I appreciate your hard work.

Thanks, unclewilly, for the tip. Yes, indeed it looks better. With the other graphic card I use to get some strange lines, but now it looks better.

About the speed of the table: I tried to reduce as much as I could the images so they fit in the video ram, but your card, whsemngr, it has only 128Mb ram, so I guess the card is compressing the images in memory. I can see how much video ram memory is in use by hiting the F11 key, but I guess that number doesn't matter much since the cards are compressing the images in memory. But I'll go on to use a max size of 1024x1024 since it gives the best results for me.

Yeah, that's a Radeon problem. Disable "Hardware Graphic Rendering" under "Options" in the table editor, save the table, close VP and restart, then it should work.

Good work. I have a question though. Is the version you chose a different wide-body special version of the table? If you look at the following image comparing an actual TOTAN to yours they are different in the following ways:

1. Your table is much wider than original
2. Your table is much less blue in colour and has a black apron instead of white (special edition?)
3. You have wire ramps when the original has transparent (although I understand there is an issue with transparent ramps - however the middle ramp should at least be silver like the original or is this again a special Gold release?
4. The lamp is completely different.

Great work though as this is my favourite table.

Rather than make a table exactly a clone of the original, JPsalas tends to make the table a version of what he wants. So there are differences so much in that it't not an exact clone, but rather, the table JP would have made.

Exactly! smile.gif I made the tables the way I should like to play them smile.gif The closer to the original the better, but if I can't do something to look like the original, then I do it my way. Like the ramps, the colors (I like a more warm tone), the backwall (which use to be lower than normal), some objects may be placed a little differently, etc.

If you want to change the view then download the backdrop pack and take a look at the "table info" for a few tips and settings you may try.

Thank you very much JP biggrin.gif But, the only thing that's missing is to make the ball visible inside the magnet, maybe you can look into this later JP? smile.gif

I played this excessively and got this bug three times... ball gets stuck to the ramp occasionally.

Another thing: How can I disable the animated gates from the game(s)? I'd love to play these tables on my wife's laptop and every single game that has those gates seriously lack performance and flow. I'm aware that the laptop isn't a gaming machine but it can run all VP9 tables (without these animated gates) just fine. I'm not asking you to disable them from the future releases... but perhaps a menu F5 option to remove them + flashers?

Other than that... thanks for another amazing conversion... this is a great looking game...!!

Yeah that would be nice for all authors - a menu to disable GI and certain other resource hogs! smile.gif

Animated wiregates are the biggest resource hogs of them all.. at least in all machines I've tried VP9 with. They eat SO much resources in relation to how little they offer. I've never liked them... just like rendered flippers.
