You must untick the 'Load Images into Editor' box in the Editor Preferences. This will fix the whiteboard issue. Other fixes to enhance performance can be found on the other Forum which is dedicated solely to Future Pinball.

Models set to high?

These are my settings for my super weak pc, all 122 FP tables play great, try them and move up from there.

Hi
You say: "still looks crap as hell and still no playfield images at all, just the basic ramps and toys and plastics, but nothing else."
In principle we get this by typing "new" in the editor ... You must type "open" and then search the table in your libraries
Excuse me if I say something basic, but I try to help you :bye2:

Not usually an issue in FP but have you tried a video driver?

didn't mean to imply stupidity but sometimes one misses the obvious
can you capture the error at all using your <Prnt Scrn> key?
or can you use 'Screenshot Studio' to get a pic for us so we can actually see the problem
Screenshot Studio is a freeware program that uses your Prnt Scrn key to capture pics off the screen
in case your default windows capture pic keys ain't working correctly

for me to run FP decently I shut down all auto updates coming into my computer
since they are memory hogs same goes for my antivirus as well as my antispyware
all of these chew up the processing memory so much as to at times make fp not run at all
especially with the newer fp pins that use holograms
heck sometimes even the newer VP pins freeze up too
if I forget to shut down all the above mentioned crap
Especially ones with the fading lights options

Windows 7 does have a few issues with FP, even running in compatibility mode. I've also noticed the whiteboard effect on some tables which run fine with XP. This can be fixed by resizing or compressing the effected textures (plastics, playfield, translite etc). You can either contact the table author who can do the job for you or export and resize the textures yourself in any image editor. You must also make sure the 'Use Texture Compression' box is ticked in the video preferences.

why doesn't your computer have the Wndows default Prnt Srcn function?
Odd that it doesn't work as it should
you use the Prnt Scrn to save the screen shot then open up MS paint
hit edit then 'paste' the pic into the MS paint editor
then you just save it (as a jpeg please) to your desktop or somewhere else you want
but yeah try to get us a pic so we can better help ya'

Hi there VPF Veteran, yes the PrntScrn button trick is the best if not the oldest trick on the planet. When i use it though, and i do exactly the way you explain it so nicely, all it gives me is a plain black picture.........But i have another question for you..I have all the pictures i want to post to show you so you guys could help me, but how do you post them? I have loaded a few pics into an album into my profile but when i go look there it says there is no pictures to show.

However it would be better if you send me your email so i can mail you the pics instead ??

It doesn't work with Future Pinball (3D application), only with Visual Pinball (2D application).

I have all the pictures i want to post to show you so you guys could help me, but how do you post them?

We normally use the "VPF Image Host" for uploading pictures. The link is in the menu bar of the forum ("Portal...Forums...VPF Chatroom...Support VPF...VPF Image Host").

Also possible, but then only he can have a look and try to help you. :)

Texture Filtering should be Bilinear but everything else looks ok to me. Do any FP tables work on your system?
