Huh. That definitely is worth exploring. Any French-speaking people willing to contact this guy?

Bigscore Slam it was done in Unity.

What is Unity 3D?

I could have been smart, but I never learned anything by being smart!

It is a game programming tool. You can read more here http://unity3d.com/
I was experimenting with this program about 6 months ago, but it was too much to learn for me.

Turn off the bumping/scrolling camera and maybe change some light effects so the bulbs don't shine through hardwood, and it might be pretty cool.

Yes, this looks cool! Anything that might help take VP closer to true 3d feeling is definately worth investigating! dblthumb.gif

Yeah that's what I was thinking with that scrolling camera, but FP seemed to have been modified so that the VPinMame screen opens and the FP watermark was removed...

Looking at the video, which shows the subtle camera movement of FP, the physics of FP, and playfield reflections like FP, and object placement identical to U.W's table..........I'm inclined to disbelieve the L5 rom marking shown by the score. Plus the ball eject area of the doghouse looks more FP than VP.

However, why bother posting it as a Unity3D mod and showing the startup edit that way, just to be called out as a fraud.
Has got me scratching me head. hmm.gif

That was my thinking. It looks VERY similar to your FP Bad Cats - lights, reflections, etc. Though it is missing the watermark, and the Pinmame APPEARS to be functioning...

Not that a FP with Pinmame would play any better, but still. This COULD be interesting.

Maybe he's using the FP table file with a custom unity3d thing? Or he wrote an importer/translator for the FP
Tables? If so, that'd be sweet.

Hi
I read the post and i have download the demo version of the Unity.
I dont know much about programming but i am very qurius to learn few things.
I think that this is a very good aprotunity to see as a experiment if this platform is better than the VP or the FP.
It looks like a very good platform with lots of potencials.
I will keep you inform about my study in this platform and who knows maybe some day i will finaly make a recreation of my favorite pin...
Take an look at this...

Yeah yeah. Wouldn't you think a fully 3D sim WITH pinmame would set this bunch on fire though?

I sent the guy a message on youtube, but I don't know any french so it was stuffed through google translate and probably didn't make any sense in the end. heh.

Edit: At least I didn't say just say "Bump", right? wink, wink. Nudge, nudge, eh?

I'm so un-impressed by this 'video' on youtube! All I see is another lame attempt by some individual who will bring NOTHING to this community.

This video was released for personal gain. Enjoy the video while it lasts.
