Cowboys And Indians

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VP 9.x Originals

Author(s): Itchigo, Grizz

Description:
Done as an a Gottlieb em original. Plays in VP9, will play in VP8 if you take "startshake" out of the script.
There are 2 versions of this game, 1 with em sounds, and 1 with western sounds. Both play the same but with different sounds. Take your pick and enjoy!!

Thanks to Grizz for the amazing artwork on this and for his help along the way. I did the layout, all coding and sounds, and the build.

This is the first table I've done without a template. Text documents inside explain the rules along with the table info.

Nice job Itchy You need to make the star triggers invisible. They probably don't show up on your pc, it is a graphics card setting somewhere, but I forget which now, it's posted somewhere on the forums. It also might be that you aren't checking the HDrender box. Do you check the HDrender box?

I've had some problems with things not being where they were left. I came back one time and all my collections were empty. I had to redo them but they were there- empty.

Bob, If I check hd it crashes.

If anyone wants to play this with a widescreen monitor without it being stretched just change the x/y rotation to 360 and the x-scale to .75

thanks again itchi

The only thing bigger than that is the playfield at 900x1800. If you check the max texture to 1024 in Vp 9.1.1 or I could put up a smaller playfield.

The quickest easiest fix for you is to open the table, export the picture that says playfield (not playfield on). Export it to your desktop and open paint and do 50% size (length and width), and import it back in.

there is an option in vp911 for it to automatically resize all images that aren't bmp to 1024x1024

btw i like the table itchigo but i do like the traditional sound version more wink.gif

I do wish it had the same nudge as RG2 though, right now its a bit easy to divert the ball and i find myself only losing a ball when i get a super quick bounce back off of the sling from a dropped target bank.

I mentioned that but didn't know if he tried it or not. And yeah, the table came out a bit faster than I would have thought but it plays great. I like how the sounds came together in the western version, timing and all (except for the bell). Someone asked about a version with the old 80's type sounds and I thought that wouldn't fit this but then thought "hmmmm" how about a wild west version"?

The flippers are a bit big but I was worried about the middle being to much of a drain monster with the middle toplane. It is a fairly easy table. I didn't change any settings regarding the nudge, although I did use "startshake" in this whereas I didn't with RG2.

geez but that was a quick build! what'd it take? about three weeks? wish My pins could be built that quick! of course the four I am currently at work on were on hold since I was learning that new 'case select' routine from Dan, now that I know how that works i can continue work on finishing them...
good looking table! love grizz's work on it, are both versions in the same zip file? I am guessing that it only opens with 9.1.1 if you are using that large a PF pic. I cannot click HD render on at all; my vp's all crash if I do that. so I guess I will resize the pf pic with 9.1.1
So you built your own from scratch? man that takes some big, well, a lot of guts! Glad ya' know enough to build from nothing now! Kind of bugs me to see guys I bring here pass me by with their coding knowledge, gotta love learning disabilities...oh well i am learning although at a much slower pace than the norm it seems...
