Being a flipperless author, I have a small following, which doesn’t bother me in the least, since I make the games that I enjoy playing. But since I have so many project tables to choose from, and so many kinds of games I make, I thought I would ask what you folks who download my tables prefer.

I make bagatelle, original bagatelle. original flippered, trade stimulators, courter top games, plastic toy pins, and the occasional commercial flipperless table, as well as sideshooters. So if you would like to see me make a few more of a particular type game, vote. Plus post a comment if you want, and I’ll see what I can do. Or post any hints or advice how I might improved the quality of my tables.

I really am not looking for kudos, just offering you a chance to have more of the kinds of games you like best made. And I realize most of you would simply say that I should make whatever I feel like making, but I enjoy making every table I do. I just thought it would be nice to those of you who play my games a chance to voice your opinions. And yes, while there might be some folks who don't care for flipperless and wish I'd stop making them, I won't be doing that, so didn't see any need to offer that as a choice.

The biggest problem making some of these really old games, especially trade stimulators, is having no idea how they played. In those cases, I will guess my best, but it would be great to be able to recreate them accurately.

I'm not sure if I saw that one. I'll have to do a search. A lot of times I already have images of the games, but as with Gropper's Popular Toy Game, Neo's image was better than what I already had. Thanks again.

Old classic Pachinko!

I helped Patrick make a few Pachinkos years ago, and have a few images, so I might see if I can adapt one of them using new images and adjusting some settings and pin placement. I also have permission from Bob to use his Pachinko as a base for new ones. In case you aren't aware, Patrick has quite a few of them posted at Pinball Nirvana. The one I know for sure I worked on with him is here in the VP8 Bagatelle section.

A lot of bagatelles you made that I've seen, appear to have really low-res pictures in them, so I thought it might be an idea to redraw the playfield, if that's not too hard to do. Well, a lot of bagatelles have simple playfield designs, so I don't think it would be too hard to redraw the most of them. I'm actually interested in redrawing one!
So that's a suggestion for you

If I were able to redraw the images I get, and yes, some are low quality, I would. But in addition to having low vision, I also have nerve issues, that cause my hands to shake. The condition used to be called palsy, but I'm such there's a more up-to-date term for it now. I actually tried redrawing Sons Of The Air, and the results looked like a young child who couldn't stay inside the lines. I have enlarged images so that I was working pixel by pixel, and still that didn't help. I'll do fine for a few minutes, and then with no warning, my hand will spasm. So it's not that I don't want to redraw them in some cases, just that I can't. Now some older tables with good resolution I think should be left as they are to reflect their age.

No problem asking. And the arthritis is painful, but the palsy is worse in that it's so frustrating at time. Let me know what kind of game you'd like me to make and I'll pick an interesting one and send it to you. I have hundreds of bagatelle, trade stimulators, commercial coin-op, counter tops, and plastic toy pins. Or if you don't have a preference, I have two that I think should be fairly easy redraws I've been wanting to do. I really do appreciate your offer.

I'll see what I can do, but it might take a while. I don't have much experience with them other than pin placement and testing. But this one such fill the bill for you.

Hey, for redrawing games with simpler graphics you can use vector graphics program like Inkscape(free) Corel, or Ilustrator. With pen and polygon tool, bezier curves, shaking hands are no problem. It takes longer but the result can be perfect. That is what professionals use for re making real PFs.

I'll have to check out Inkscape, which I'm sure is the only one I could afford. I doubt it would take much longer than having to Undo mistakes all the time.

And I think I'll be redrawing with Inkscape, as retracing an image in raster is quite silly to do, as what I'll be doing is just selecting an area with the lasso and then filling that in with a certain colour.
