Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

Someone requested that this VP9 table be ported to VPX so I gave it
a go as I also wanted a VPX version. All credit goes to Pinuck for his wonderful VP9 version,
all I did was make it work under VPX and add a few sounds and lighting.

Notes ** This is a cabinet view portrait mode table.
You will need the file Line_Drive_FS_B2S.exe included in Pinuck's original VP9 table pack found here.

Not likely due to the backglass. Someone could do an FSS version.

Yah sorry, forgot to mention you need Pinuck's B2S. Also note it is an executable not a .directb2s.

@tgx

Thanks for doing this conversion. This game is really fun to play and a nice diversion from standard pinball.

If I was to redraw the main portion of the backglass (not the part with the players moving) - does anyone know how to rebuild the exe for the backglass or replace the main artwork if I was to redo it?

Since it isn't a b2s file - I don't know the first thing about updating it?

Problem with EXE backglasses

with out the original b2s designer project files or atleast the VB project, you can not edit or update it

b2s designer saves in its own project format of course

and for an exe backglass, it exports a VB project, that you then load in visual studio and compile to an exe

and i had no luck in reverse compiling one

if you had the b2s designer project files, then you could edit it and simply create a normal .directb2s backglass

as it sits now, i think you would literally have to hand rebuild it?

@wiesshund

Well that is unfortunate.

I tried sending a PM to Pinuck to ask if he had the original files to work from - but it says he can not receive messages here anyone.

Bummer.

For a backglass For this Game  (Line Drive)
Download this game and use the back glass from the zip file do not rename put it in Tables folder -- https://www.vpforums...s&showfile=5743

You will also need to do this -- https://www.vpforums...e=4#entry457697

What do you mean do not rename and put in Tables folder? Put this entire folder (contents are b2s.vbs, Line_Drive_FS_B2S.exe, ScreenRes.txt) inside the Tables folder?

Or, separate each file and put the b2s.vbs inside the vbs folder and the B2S.exe in the Tables folder, without renaming either of them?

IF linedrive requires a custom B2S.vbs then i suggest this

Pop LineDrive in its OWN folder, along with the exe backglass, screenres.txt and the vbs file

Reason being, if you put that B2S.vbs file any place any other table can see and use it, then it will, and it will probably hose that table.

I would not put that script in the scripts folder as VPX already has a B2S.vbs and i have a feeling that one is not the same.

VPX is good in that way.
By that, i mean, you can take a special case table, and drop it in its own folder, with custom script versions etc

and it will happily run from there and use the modded scripts etc, and will not bother any of the normal tables a single bit

Thanks guys, putting the b2s.exe in the tables folder, then adding the lines at the end of the script per Outhere's instructions did the trick!

Hi all, Im using pinup popper as my front end, when I exit the table and I have the script provided by Outhere at the bottom of the table script to close the back glass, I get a vpx.exe error. This error only comes up when I exit the table and Im running things through popper. If I run the table and exit directly through VPX I do not get the error. So Im guessing the issue is where I put that exit script to close the back glass? I am assuming somewhere in popper and the emulators script area is the appropriate location?
