ya we can find a link and the smp3 rom, but its for the game...not for the pin..

thanks for the link darkknight, got the file from vpdb BETA, I loaded this up it all looks good, but I cannot add credit and start a game?? A problem in the script or just the wrong rom?? 

 

keyboard (7) to test rom functions all seems ok except when you hit 1.. nothing, 2... nothing, 3,4,5,6, are testing as 1,2,3,4 ??

 

p.s. I also have same problem with The Way of the Dragon, get everything, sound for credit on (5) but no credit register and not able to start.

 

Fix this one first, then we can worry about Bruce Lee later....

 

Checked other tables all load ok and run. Loaded Alien Poker and tested, it functions correctly, so not a system setting in correct...?

 

any suggestions...

Thanks for the reply Outhere, sorry, we are taking about Super Mario Bros. vpx not vp9?

When loading a new vpx game, I always load the vpx and the b2s and try to load / run the table in the visual pinball editor first with the rom missing from the rom folder so the table run error tells me the correct rom needed... so many to chose from sometimes....

works like a charm...99.9% of the time, I installed 20 tables this way without fault, until this one, no credit add, no start game because unable to add credit.

This game calls for smb3, that's what was downloaded from darknight's link, same site you pointed to.

just tried smb (no 3) definately does not work, table asks for smb3 Rev3. comparing the two rom zips, it appears all the "bin" files are the same size, smb3 just ver.3 and three years younger....

thanks for the DMD colourisation (sorry aussie spelling) I'll use that for sure when I get it running!

At first I could not edit it, restored to factory settings, scrolled through to "number of balls per game", changed from zero (0) to three (3), set credit chute assignments,

fiixed!

Now for the colour DMD, ha ! I'm learning !

Thanks for this. Finally updated my PinMame and VPX to 7.3 (because of VPW's new ACDC table), and I forgot there are extra steps to get this particular table running

Getting around to fixing a couple tables after updating to vpinmame 3.5.

 

Have the new nvram and smb3 rom for super mario bros, but when starting the game in VPX getting an error in a game info popup. Lists the files in the zipped rom and says the dsp733-2.bin file has a bad checksum state and table won't start.

 

Any ideas? THANKS
