Hey everybody! I tried taking an existing b2s for white water (tried all 3 readily avaiable) and none allowed me to do what I did with the Filintstones backglass using my own image. Was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me in creating a db2s with a grill using the the original image and or my version with the grill? Below are the links. Something about the illumination animations that I deleted is making it so I cant export it. Export dark backglass works with no problem, but illumination backglass will not export. Any tips? Or know someone on this forum that can make the image swap? I'm confident the lighting would work from an existing one, but cant get it to work   I would make my own from scratch but have no clue how to do it and the settings are super overwhelming lol. Thanks for any and all help in advance!

also you got an actual downloadable source for your backglass image?

this is an awfully small image?

ok i am uploading one, you can add more lights to it, i put only 3 in it

rom ID's 4 5 and 9

 

not sure what error you got, but it probably stems from a corrupt animation snippet that can not be removed from the backglass

you dont need to export though

I just used the image you had and upscaled it
You should be able to swap it out no problem

 

You probably could have just put a new image in the existing one, but the lighting worked bad for it
looked like a nuclear holocaust

there, that will let you edit as desired

also works as it is now, but more importantly, it will let you do what ever with out error

like swapping in a better resolution backglass image

You can't use the art, it's from Bryan Allen. Better remove it before you get sewed.

Yes, this is definitely for personal use/educational purposes which I think defines it as fair use. Same with the Flintstones one I uploaded....just sharing with the vpin community. But it's not worth upsetting anyone or getting in trouble over. In fact, I have 2 pieces of Bryan's artwork in my shopping cart and probably buying a hoodie too lol. Thanks for the link Laylow! And thanks Wiesshund! Still at work but looking forward to trying it out and seeing if I can successfully add to it (but what you made will probably work perfect). I really really appreciate your time! You guys are good people!

He just asked us last year not to use his art and remove the uploaded backglasses. You have to lay low in this hobby

2 different things

 

You can do what ever you wish to do, on your own personal cabinet

but you can not seel, nor give the cabinet away with that stuff still on it

and you can not share said creations via this website, when said creations use art created by someone who does not wish the art used.

If you find it in google, you can use for yourself for private use, not much anyone can do about it

but that does not quite put it into the category of fair use to redistribute, 2 different things.

This cab will be the coolest thing I will ever own and make myself. It'll be mine forever lol Totally agree with you though...the sharing part is questionable and would definitely be defined as redistributing. I kind of assumed everyone on here was using this stuff for personal/educational use. Putting it all somewhat (especially the tables themselves & corresponding roms) in that "gray area" of fair use...if you had to make the argument I guess. It really depends on the artist. From what I've seen online, his work is very popular and for good reason; he's very talented. Because of this forum's willingness to help, it led to me buying his work. So hopefully if he see's this one day he won't be too upset I'm sure I'll find another way to give back Thanks again for your help everybody!

If you bought his art and scanned it and used it in a virtual backglass (which you kinda can not do with the physical art)
i doubt he would care much.

But if you shared that to me, he might be upset, because he does not wish his art used that way, even if not for profit.

 

We do not use anything here that the owner says "Hey i do not wish you to use that"

Look at it this way

 

If you printed a dollar bill, that simply sat at your house, as a decoration.
Treasury dept aint saying much, even though you really are not supposed to do it

 

now you start sharing some with friends and they are coming to pay you a visit
