Hi,

I downloaded Star Wars Trilogy Hanibals 4k 1.5 and noticed the ball flies around the table so fast I can barely see it.  It's like the whole game is on steroids or something.  Is there a setting or combo of settings that will slow the ball to a normal speed for the whole tables.  It's like every bouncy surface strength is amped.

This is also a general question, not just related to this particular table.

Thanks!

Here is a version I modified for my cab.  I increased the table friction, reduced the flipper strength and adjusted the friction of all the targets, rubbers and posts.  Give it a try

https://www.dropbox....joemod.vpx?dl=0

In general, to slow a table. :

- Table "Dimensions and Slope" settings.  Lower slope

- Table "Physics", increase Gravity and Playfield friction based on the guidelines in the PhysicsValues.txt file located in the visual pinball folder

- Adjust the flipper strength and mass per the guidelines in the PhysicsValues.txt file

- Decrease the slingshot force for the slings if necessary

- Decrease the bumper force for the bumpers if necessary

If a VPX table seems unrealistic when hitting targets or rubbers, then usually the friction setting of these items are probably set to 0 and need to be adjusted.

- Adjust each drop and standup target physics settings per the  PhysicsValues.txt file

- Adjust the rubber physics settings per the  PhysicsValues.txt file

- Adjust the wall per physics settings per the  PhysicsValues.txt file

Thanks so much!  I'll give your modified version a shot and report back.  (Hopefully today)

I hijacked from your Dropbox. Your tweaks make the table a lot more playable. Thanks GTX

Good call gtxjoe- personally I think that one of the physics mistakes that I am seeing in vpx is super powered flippers, low friction, and med-high slant... It makes things fast, but not necessarily true to life. Thanks for sharing your tuning!
