I was toying around with using SetDMD and am having an issue when updating roms.  For example, I set my AFM display in the correct location (which is my first configured rom).  I then load it in SetDMD and update all installed roms. 

 

Then all displays including the AFM screen are extremely small, almost like it's been set to a higher resolution.  I attempted to use the borders to resize again, but the borders don't stretch the display accordingly....dmd stays at a smaller ratio like at a higher resolution.  The only way for me to fix this was to uninstall and reinstall Vpinmame.  I tried this 3x's before i resigned to manually sizing all my tables.

 

Any idea on what I could be missing?

In SetDMD, see if ddraw/DirectDraw and/or D3d radio buttons are checked. I think by default SetDMD does not have those checked, but you may want them checked if you are stretching borders to resize the DMD window.

I imported my properly set AFM display into SetDMD and directdraw was already set.  I noticed this the other night as well, and it still didn't allow for proper size and border stretching after exporting. 

 

What gets me is that it changes the original imported display as well. 

 

I have yet to try checking Direct3d and exporting due to the fact that I don't wanna risk corrupting the displays again.

Toggle direct draw and direct 3d around until everything works. Seems to have become important with a recent pinmame update.
