Here is a small early Christmas gift for all of you: This is a special version of VP9.9.1 where you can change the camera (POV) while rendering the table. You can't really play any table with this version it's only purpose is to help you finding the best POV without this annoying trial'n error solution you normaly have to use. Maybe there are some elements which won't look or behave correct while changing the backdrop settings but the majority of elements work so you get the impression how the table will look like. If you quit the player the changed backdrop settings overwrite the old backdrop settings. Just (re-)open the backdrop settings and the new values are there.

This is an original VP10 feature but because it's so useful and VP10 will need more time until we start a beta phase, I descided to make a special VP9 version so you can change the POV to your liking.

The usage is simple: Start the tool -> load a table -> press play and in the upper left corner you will see which setting is active and how you can change it.

So go now and adjust you POV ;)

After running the VP Camera tool, just don't load the same table up too quickly inside your preferred VP9.x version too quickly or it might give you an error it seems.  Still an amazing tool!!!   Thank you fuzzel for the early Christmas present!!

Best Regards,

Todd.

Kruge, what do you mean by that, not to load the table too quickly?

Well, I had the VP Cam tool open to check out my High Speed table and fiddled around with the controls and it was all good and I was totally blown away!!  So I exited the VP9 Cam tool and quickly started VP9.9 and loaded High Speed again and when VP9.9 tried to open the .vpt file, I was given an "error opening table" error (I don't remember the exact wording) so I closed VP9.9 completely.  Then I opened VP9.9 again, loaded High Speed again and it loaded and played properly.  I doubt I can duplicate this very easily so it's probably not worth worrying much about it.  I just put it down to my freakish excitement of the moment.

lol ok. Well VP makes a backup of the table you are playing and reloads it after quitting the player. So I guess this has to do with that behavior...

I haven't tried the too yet, but I already have a question/request for you Fuzzel, hope you won't hate me :)

This will be super useful to us, but I've realized that I spend more time tweaking the flashers' position after changing the layback, then adjusting the table itself.

Would it be possible to have an option to indicate the cursor's x and y values on the table? This way, once the layback is changed, we would just need to place the mouse cursor on the table elements, get the values for the flasher, and then apply them manually in the editor.

Just to be sure that I understood you. Do you want an information of the mouse cursor's position inside the player or in the editor?

Hm, isn´t working at most tables I started with.

VP crashes, when loading tables.

I started Adjustment tool as admin.

Do I have to do some other adjustments before?
