I just got a little more info on this from a pinball mailing list. Steve Ellenoff did contract work on the MM, NGG, and TOTAN to create an emulation engine for them. Apparently they scripted the rules for the other tables before and decided emulation would be a better and easier way to go with these new tables. That gives me some more hope as to the authenticity.

It was also stated that they want to do more Bally / Wms tables but will wait and see how well sales are with this first... so everyone should go buy it.

This has been delayed at least three times so far (a week each time), here's hoping that it finally drops this week. I have been following this title since it was announced and the screenshots and videos look great. If they get the play and physics down, this game will be awesome.

Thanks for the info Shooby, Great to here Steve Ellenoff got behind this project. I own all the older versions of this game and I think its a great game overall.

Been waiting to get my hands on this one for a long time. I hope it makes the new date of the 22nd. I would love to see future editions of the game as well.
to be honest though, I understand it's a budget title but they really have to create some kind of buzz about this game. I think this thread is doing more advertising for it then they have.

I really wish this one had online multiplayer and I don't mean the way Zen pinball does it. I just want a straight up turn by turn play, I would love just watching the other person play and seeing how the other person approaches the table. Is it really that hard to do?

One thing I love about this game are the very detailed instructions that they give you, They pinpoint the various spots on the table and walk you through. I for one learned a great deal more about some tables that I never new about. I'm going to buy the PS3 version of this one. I am so tired of sending back my 360
(Five Times now!) The 360 has a lot of things going for it but the hardware sucks.

Xbox 360 hw is fragile and prone to overheating. I can testify to this fix:

I have fixed several xbox 360's that were red ringed with this (relatively) cheap and easy fix. If your box is still under warranty, you may want to send it in instead as opening the box breaks a foil sticker and voids the warranty.

Interesting stuff. I will wait for the first reviews and then might buy a PS3 and this game.

I was a sony fan having owned both the ps1 and ps2, but after witnessing the cool dashboard and ease of getting and playing online friends, I am gonna' switch my allegiance and try the xbox. so in about 3 months i should have one. my buddie had his blow up 4 times in 2 years, but it IS a Microsoft product so I expect bugs! he's had red rings of death, the blue screen and two freezeups. every time Microsoft just sent him a new one! so I have my fingers crossed that they get the physics right with the pinball machines and I can then enjoy it at my leaisure

My 360 RROD'd again last night... time to pull it apart AGAIN and tighten up the heatsinks... fixes it for a while but I think its on its last legs now.

A couple of reviews are up. Check out ign.com and gamespot.com. Gamespot has a bunch of brand new screen shots and a little video of it in action. sadly as Gravy has pointed out in an earlier post, From what I can see the real time reflections on the ball has been removed for what ever reason. But I will say the tables look INCREDIBLE!! I have been playing the PS2 version this past week and the difference is night and day. And this going by a video on gamespot. Can't wait to fire this one up on my own.

I just got my copy about an hour ago, I am playing on the Xbox 360. First impressions are very positive. The game looks and plays great. The physics are really good too imo. I played MM for awhile, a table I play often on vp and in real life and it compares well. I am practiced at mm and was able to rock it out pretty good the first time around. I got the same results on bk, but sucked at ngg, a table I have not played in real life and only a couple times in vp. Another feature I like is the narrated, shot by shot tour available for each table.

A couple of minor gripes:
-The 'rock music' radio, which can be turned off to leave just the table sounds (so a non issue)
-The default camera view. On most tables I prefer 'smart view 3' or 'smart view 4' (some tables have different numbers of view options). Some other numbers might be better on other tvs, they are all pretty good, but the ones I use are closest to vp. This would not be a problem if you could save your preferred angle per table, but instead I have to hit the b button 3 or four times at the beginning of each game after ball launch to get the view. Not a huge deal really either though.

Overall I like the game a lot, it's the kind of game that makes me glad to have a 360. It's crazy that this is a budget title considering the replay value. If you have a 360 or ps3 i highly recommend getting this game. If you love pinball go play it somewhere and you may even want to go get a console for it. I am going back to it.
