Stuzza,

I started messing around with a image program.

I wanted to try doing a nightmare concept to go with my Chucky topper.

I was going with a really dark theme, so I hope it comes out close to what I am thinking.

This is the rough side art so far...

Stuzza,

I started messing around with a program called GIMP2.

I wanted to try doing a nightmare concept to go with my Chucky topper.

Ok no prob.  If you did want to go with a custom job then this is what I thought of for your theme:

Wow! I did not think you would have started yet.

Thanks for the input! I think the color makes it look a lot better.

Hey Stuzza, I just want to say thank you for your great work! Here's my MiniPin with a slightly modified version of your Mortal Kombat artwork.

For Germans: I printed it at http://www.einfachbe....com/easy-vinyl, it was quite cheap and came out just great.

I don't think I ever posted my completed cab pics with Stuzza's amazing work.  I think I was going to wait until my cab made it in the house, but not sure that will ever happen.  My wife and I have a difference of opinion on where it should stay. :P   I highly recommend Stuzza, he was great to work with, made the changes I requested quickly, and sent files for my review multiple times.  The original artwork was in color, I chose to go with grayscale, I added Raphael and the Haunted House owl on the backbox, and I added the manufacturers across the bottom (from another Stuzza masterpiece).  I am very happy with how it turned out, and people that see it comment on how good the artwork is.

Stuzza - was looking thru an old hard drive and I found I have the original ultrapin artwork.
Basically these ones below are 1/10th of the size of the original TIFF files.

I was wondering if you PM me your email - could you post them in a 'full sized' format for everyone to use if they wish.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for lack of free artwork updates lately but I've been very busy trying to get some of my own projects finished for once!!  Wife has not been too happy with me having machines all over the house.

Anyway, good news is I've finished off a few projects and only have one or two left so the small games room is looking much cleaner now.

Finished my Fix it Felix build the other week and have added it to the games room.  Now working on a touchscreen jukebox.  All sitting next to the Virtual Pin which unfortunately has seen no love lately and needs a major overhaul of the software.  If only I had more time..... LOL

Thanks to all those who have sought commissioned artwork lately.  It has been fun working on some different pieces.  And please remember to post photos here of completed projects!  We love to see them.

Looks great.

I am looking to do a 23in touch screen Juke for the new game room, are you just going to fix a factory unit or will it run off windows/linux? I am trying to find  an interface that looks vintage but is touch friendly.

It is a custom machine.  The cabinet was an old kiosk used at a local university for printing.  It had a card reader and docket printer in the front that I removed and then mounted speakers into.  Then I resprayed the machine in Red and black.  The bottom area has a large piece of perspex where a graphic will go, just need to make it.  It is a PC running Windows XP and SKJukebox.

I have come a long way to get what I think will be close to my final pin art.

Special Thanks to Stuzza!  :love39:

I read every post on this thread and followed ever link.

I watched on-line how-to videos and experimented for at least 10 hours.

I changed my theme and concept at least 5 times...

I think I am finally, almost happy with the out come.

Late last night, I started over using Stuzza's "Burning Rubber" psd.

I went with a Rat Fink style, with a side of Chucky, and a hint of Gwar.

Stuzza, so much awesome work in here. I'm getting ready to seal my cabinet with a coat of paint first and the want to wrap with graphics. My question is whether it's better to paint a white our black base our does it even matter?

I'd say your best to paint the whole thing black.  Reason being is that not all the cab will be covered in art, so the back and parts of the backbox will normally be left with just paint.  Hence painting it all black will mean all the non covered parts are not standing out.  The only exception to this would be if you are using a theme with a white background, in which case you might want the rest of the cab white to match.

It is definitely best to sand and paint the cab first to give the smoothest best surface for the vinyl to adhere to.  Be aware that vinyl will not hide bumps and scratches - it will actually make them more noticeable!

Couldn't agree more.  After applying stuzza's great custom artwork to two cabinets, all I can say is sanding, sanding and more sanding!

Also, a random time to document the trick that I was taught to apply the vinyl by the guy who printed them for me and does it every day.

- Seal the wood with something, ie paint, clear coat, etc

- Ensure the surface is smooth and dust free

- Mix up water and a drop of dish washing detergent in a spray bottle (when shaken you should get about 5 - 10mm of bubbles only - if you get more dilute it)

- Spray the surface you are applying the sticker to with a light mist, stop just when it looks like it might run and drip

- apply the sticker, with the water detergent mix you should be able to pull it off carefully and replace it

- with a paint scraper / piece of wood / almost anything wrapped well in cloth but with a straight edge (you can buy $2 tools to do this job) so nothing solid protrudes, press to apply the sticker from roughly the middle to the outside.  Water will come out, that is right.  This process will remove any air bubbles before it all dries and sticks permanently.

If you can try the above with an off-cut of sticker on an off-cut of timer.  Yes I did paint and prepare an off-cut the same way just to test my process first.  Most sticker printing peoiple have scraps they will give you as well.

Can't thank stuzza enough for a great job he's done with the artwork. He's very fast and professional.

Can't wait to see it printed.
