HA!  I only know that because I just needed that file for some testing and did the same thing....  then went back and re-read it.

edit for lizard:  preferences>video options,  I think set visual nudge strength to 0.

Awesome, thanks for the visual nudge tip!

That was driving me nuts.

Once in awhile the entire table would jump sporadically causing me to stop

for a second with a "What the holy hell!" kinda thing... Instant ball drain.

I'm sure some folks dig it and serves its purpose.

Just a bit distracting for me ;-)

Changing that setting, the ball will still move when nudged but the entire table doesn't freak out.

Nice.

I'm glad to have it and it works as it should, but it really should be in the editor/table settings.

Release before this last one, and the one before gives me so much flipper lag, I would call it a delay, and makes VPX un-playable.

2385

I'm not positive it's not something on my end. And I overwrote that version. I got it down from about a half a second to very little time by adjusting settings that were working very well before though. If this is rare, I'm not worried, as I said before I have weak links in my system and the GPU is one of the weakest. My fps went from ~59 with 2385 to ~28 afterword though. Monitor sync is 60

This is weird.. The only change that -could- have changed performance was 2412 after 2385.. So versions between these two also have the slowdown?

I would have to run the earlier versions to be sure. I use to same them.

I skipped 2412. I have tried 2411 and 2423.

In my GPU settings effort to get performance with some quality with VPX I have noticed all other games (the ones I made) run smoother. I mentioned before that it seems that VPX runs better for me with settings towards quality. I know that makes no sense, but the better everything else runs the worse VPX does.

Obviously, having AMD, I can't use AO.

Having not deleted my lights and drawn then on the playfield, I can't use reflections. I do know that on is a killer though.

I usually have a gentle AA going, but none of that helps. Strong AA is a killer

I have never had flipper lag before. Ever, with any version of VP

But I don't have a target system apparently, Don't worry about it. I'm looking forward, and I'll get a system for the release of VPX that will run it as well as the best of them.

I appreciate your concern.

Hi to everyone that work hard on this development.

I really apreciate your effort in make a good and stable VP10 program.

I have one feature proposal... sorry for the intromission :)

If it possible to the VP editor take the PC time and automatic set the day/night bar to different position depending of the PC real time?

Of course with a check box say something like "Auto select day/night from PC time" if selected we can play day tables at day and night tables at night....

If not checked the day/night selector works just like today.

Just a suggestion to make more realistic our pinball experience.

Thanks a lot four your time making this great program!

Regards from Chile

will even be cooler than expected: if given the correct longitude and latitude of your location, it will even respect the average sun radiation and sunrise/sunset cycle.  :)

(overkill maybe, but then again, its cool)

In the first table I made of Elvira and the Party Monsters (highrise made all the graphics), I used this sub to change from day mode to night mode, and even a midnight mode, where a thunder sound could be heard, and the table changed while you were playing. The sub was very easy, since vbscript has a time function:

Sub Day_Timer()
   Ti=ABS(Mid(Time, 1, 2) )
   If Ti=OldTi Then Exit Sub
   If Ti>5 AND Ti<18 Then OldTi=Ti : DayMode : Exit Sub
   If Ti=0 Then
      OldTi=Ti : MidnightMode
   Else
      OldTi=Ti : NightMode
   End If
End Sub

The table dates from February 2006 :)
