I loaded 1976 Gottlieb Hang Glider table and EM Reels are blank numbers not showing up when playing table.

What do I need to modify in the script for this table?

I am running VPinMame version 2.5 and Visual Pinball 9.9.0 on Windows 7

Any workarounds appreciated.

I have tried both versions 9.21 and 9.90 Visual Pinball with this table and no luck with EM Reels not showing still.  What do I look for and change in the script or backdrop?

Actually, I have the same issue and would love to be able to fix it myself if possible. A couple of tables come to mind;

Bronco by Romolo, This table was allegedly updated from Redswal's VP8 version, The table is good, but the EM reels and other text boxes will not render. If I play the table under VP8, the reels and other text boxes work perfectly, but the background image goes to God.

Concorde by Akiles has the same issue in VP9. However it won't load under VP8.

There must be someone out there with an answer, even if it's not possible to fix. We would just like to know.

Try vp 9.14 or vp 9.15 or vp 8 . There is no way to make them run in 9.21 and 9.9 as far as i know. You'll need either 9.14 or 9.15 for a vp9 table and vp8 for a vp8 table.

Thanks Duglis. You're probably right. I already have the VP8 version of Bronco. The table would most likely require a complete rebuild from the ground up. A project for VPX perhaps?

BTW, I solved the problem with Concorde. It wasn't an EM reel issue, but a text box issue. it turned out that the text box was too small to display the text. Now fixed.

And thanks for your work on those older tables and bagatelles. They take me waaaayyyyyy back. lol

Cheers,

Nursie

Thanks for the thought, Allknowing,

But I'm running a single Monitor desktop. I can turn it around, but it will be fiddly to get it right. I might save that up for a rainy Saturday afternoon. lol.

I'll solve my problem faster by running what I have in VP912 (the version it was authored in), I just tried VP908 and it has some issues. Bronco is such a classic table, it's worthwhile persisting to get it right.

OK, finally solved it. I used VP913 for Bronco, Dolphin and Dogs Race. In the video Options, I've ticked the Check Blit Status, and selected 1024 for Maximum Texture Dimensions.

They all present as they should now. The physics could be better, so I might play with that. But all in all, I'm now a happy chappy.
