Replay Adjustment - Bally First Generation 6803

Procedure to adjust replay levels on Frist Generation Bally 6803 tables

Posted by ta2686 on Apr 17 2013 08:16 PM
Here is the procedure to reset the replay levels on the first generation of Bally 6803 tables. These tables had a numeric keypad inside the machine used to access the options and to reset the options. The reason I call these the first generation Bally 6803s is that the displays on the backglass resemble those on the earlier Bally 17 and 35 machines. The later 6803s, besides having the displays at the bottom of the backbox, also used a different menu system than these tables, so those will be discussed in another post.

1.     Press END key to open coin door
2.     Press 9 (on the keyboard side) to enter the test mode. You should see 00 in the ball in play/match display. If not, press 9 again.
3.     On the numeric keypad side, type in 12 and press the numeric keypad enter button. This will take you to the first replay level
4.     Using the numeric keypad, enter the score that you wish to set the first replay level to.
5.     Press enter on the numeric keypad to change the replay level
6.     Press 7 to accept the change
7.     Using the numeric keypad, type in 13 and press the numeric keypad enter button.  This will take you to the second replay level
8.     Repeat steps 4 through 6 to set the second replay level.
9.     Using the numeric keypad, type in 14 and press the numeric keypad enter button.  This will take you to the third replay level
10.   Repeat steps 4 through 6 to set the third replay level.
11.   Using the numeric keypad, type in 15 and press the numeric keypad enter button.  This will take you to the high game to date
12.   Repeat steps 4 through 6 to set the high game to date.
13.   Press the END key to close the coin door
14.   Press F3 to save your changes and reset the table.

(NOTE: To disable a replay level, enter zeros for that replay level)

This procedure should work on the following tables:

First Generation Bally 6803 tables:
Beat The Clock, Eight Ball Champ, Lady Luck

Note that the VPM version of Beat the Clock uses the Bally 35 method of settings, see the post for Bally 17 and 35 tables to set the replay levels for that table. In addition, Scapino's VP8 version of Flash Gordon, a Bally 35 table, uses this procedure to set the replay levels.
