Here is the procedure to reset replay levels on Sega tables with the Data East/Sega Version 3B or Sega/Stern Whitestar system.  These were the last tables produced by Sega before Stern bought the pinball division from Sega.

1. Press 7 to enter the service portal menu

2. Press the right shift key twice to move the cursor to the adjustment selection (wrench icon)

3. Press 1 key to enter adjustments menu

4. With the cursor on the “Sonic the Hedgehog” icon, press 1 to enter Sega adjustments menu

5. The first item shown is replay percentage. The default for this selection is 10%.  Using the right shift key, move the cursor to the ‘+’ icon in order to raise the percentage, or to the ‘-‘  icon to lower the percentage.

6. With the cursor on the selection you want, press 1 key to change the percentage by 1% per press.  This item can be set from 1% to 50% or to fixed replays.

7. When you have the percentage at the level you like, move the cursor using the left shift key to the right arrow icon (->) and press the 1 key.  You should see a request accepted message flashing if you changed that value.  You should see the number of replay levels.

8. This value defaults to 1.  Again, using the right shift key move the cursor to the ‘+’ icon to raise the number of replay levels, or to the ‘-‘ icon to lower the number of replay levels.  This can be set from 0 to 4.

9. When you have the number of replay levels you like, use the left shift key to move the cursor back to the right arrow (->) and press the 1 key.  You should be taken to the first replay level.

10. Using the right shift key, move the cursor to the ‘+’ icon to raise the replay level, or to the ‘-‘ icon to lower the replay level.  Use the 1 key to change the score by the following:
      a. 10,000,000 points – Baywatch, Batman Forever, Apollo 13, Goldeneye, Twister
      b. 100,000 points – Space Jam, Star Wars Trilogy, Jurassic Park 2 – Lost World, X-Files, Starship Troopers, Viper Night Driving, Lost In Space, Golden Cue*, Godzilla, South Park, Harley Davidson

(NOTE: If you have set the value in the previous step to more than 1, then after setting this replay value to the score you want, use the left shift key to move the cursor back to the right arrow icon then press 1 to go to the next replay level, then repeat step 10 for the next replay level,  Do this for each replay level desired)

11. To exit the system, use the right shift key to move the cursor to the ‘QUIT’ icon, then press the 1 key to exit.

This procedure should work on the following tables:

Data East/Sega Version 3B tables:

Baywatch, Batman Forever

Sega/Stern Whitestar tables:

Apollo 13, Goldeneye, Twister, Independence Day, Space Jam, Star Wars Trilogy, Jurassic Park 2 – Lost World, X-Files, Starship Troopers, Viper Night Driving, Lost In Space, Golden Cue*, Godzilla, South Park, Harley Davidson

* - although this table uses the same system, some functions were disabled, including replay percentage and number of replays.  This table ended up being remade as Stern’s Sharkey’s Shootout for general release.
