Here is the procedure to set number of balls on all Bally/Midway/Williams WPC tables. These were the tables produced before the Pinball 2000 tables Revenge from Mars and Star Wars Episode One were made:
1. Press END key to open coin door.
2. Press the zero (0) key to enter the menu system.
3. Press the 8 and 9 keys to cycle the menu until you see the A. Adjustments menu item.
4. Press the zero (0) key to enter that sub-menu.
5. Press the zero (0) key to allow changes
6. Using the 8 and 9 keys, select the number of balls per game (between 1 and 10).
7. Press the zero (0) key to accept changes
8. To exit, press the 7 key four times.
You may have to press the END key again to close the coin door.
NOTE: There may be tables where the coin door is already open when the table loads, so you may not have to perform step 1. However, you will not get notification that the door is open. To check to see if the door is open, press either the 7 or 0 key. If the message appears to open the coin door to use the buttons, then press the end key to open the door.

Williams WPC (Fliptronics 1) tables:
