Getting Started (updated Mar 2022)
Install Visual Pinball All-In-One Installer
Try playing an Electro-Mechanical (EM) table first (No ROM file required)
Next, try a Solid State (SS) table that requires a ROM file
Install Visual Pinball All-In-One Installer
- Download and install VPX7setup.zip from here: http://www.vpforums....&showfile=11573
- Unzip and run the installer
Try playing an Electro-Mechanical (EM) table first (No ROM file required)
- Download "Seven Winner (Inder 1973).zip" from here: https://www.vpforums...&showfile=16263
- Unzip the Seven Winner vpx file to C:\Visual Pinball\Tables
- If you are setting up cabinet or multiple screens, download the "Seven Winner (Inder 1973).directb2s.zip" backglass file and unzip to C:\Visual Pinball\Tables
- Run VPinballX.exe in C:\Visual Pinball folder
- If you are setting up cabinet or multiple screens, you need to enable cabinet mode and enable B2S by doing the following:
- Click on Preferences -> "Video/Graphic Options...". Enable the "Use always FS backdrop settings (Cabinet/Rotated Screen usage)" option and click OK
- Click on Preferences -> "Configure Keys, Nudge and DOF...". Make sure that "Disable B2S" option is unchecked and click OK
- Now click on File -> Open and open "Seven Winner (Inder 1973).vpx" and click Play
Next, try a Solid State (SS) table that requires a ROM file
- Download Attack From Mars, "Attack from Mars LE 3.04.zip" from here: http://www.vpforums....&showfile=11603
- Unzip Attack from Mars LE 3.04.vpx and extract the vpx file to C:\Visual Pinball\Tables folder
- Download the Attack From Mars ROM, afm_113b, from here: http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=1340
- Copy the "afm_113b.zip" file to C:\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME\roms folder. (Do not unzip the rom file, leave it zipped)
- If you have a pinball cabinet or multiple screens, download the Backglass from here: https://www.vpforums...&showfile=13596
- Unzip the backglass file to C:\Visual Pinball\Tables folder and rename it to match the table filename, i.e. "Attack from Mars LE 3.04.directb2s"
- Run VPinballX.exe
- Open "Attack from Mars LE 3.04.vpx" and click Play
