My cabinet running PinballX v2.29 frontend (menu) system...
Can't stop the DMD glare with camera for some reason, doesn't look washed out like that in person...
Was recommended to paint it with foam roller and 1 qt. Rust-Oleum Satin Black #7777 ($8.46) and sand with a 3M Fine Drywall Sanding Sponge ($3.18) between coats, all available at Home Depot. First coat was awful, just as I was warned, but after sanding it lightly with the 3M Sponge, WOW, what a smooth surface, 2nd coat was really good looking. I stopped there and decided the Satin was a little too flat for me, would like to spray a final coat with maybe a Semi-Gloss for a little more sheen. Such a tough finish when fully dried, it's so good you won;t even believe it's wood... I had a wood chip impregnated in the side of the main cab which had a hallow spot under it, thus I fully picked (dug) out all the loose material and put a good coat of automotive Bondo-Glass Reinforced Filler (Walmart $8.83) on it, sanded with 100 grit and coat of paint and no fear, can't even see the defect now. I highly recommend the Satin Black as it seems to fill and level the surface very nice with no over spray or mess from the roller application, but will I will tear cab down in summer and put a final coat of semi over it.
