Unfortunately 9.9.1 crashes when loading a table (Win8), 9.9.0 works fine

If you are using the Cabinet version of Pinmame from this site, this could be the cause of your issues.  I have posted details here :-

Thank You :)

Hello everybody. I have been away for several months, maybe a year. Work obligations. Family stuff. You know. I don't think i even looked at my cab, let alone turned it on.  Anyway, I just got back into VP on Monday and played some of my old favorites, downloaded a few new tables, and messed with some of the small tweaks details that sucks up all of our time--especially Hyperpin :).  Some tables that were not working magically fixed themselves and passed their gremlins on to another table. Usual stuff, for me anyway.

Anyway, when I was last here VP 920 was the latest I was playing with and now that I have returned, I see I need to upgrade to VP 9.9.1    What follows is a lead up to the problem.

A few of the newer tables I downloaded would not run and would give me an error message that VP 920 was not working. So, I upgrade to VP 921 by using the standalone installer.  This fixed the VP921 error problems with most of the tables, however, one table now gave me an error message that VP 921 was not working. By and large though, VP 921, while running me thru some growing pains  seems to be working in an OK fashion. But I can see from reading all the posts that I need to move on up to VP 990 and VP 991 (as a point of reference, I keep complete backup copies of all my VP folders so it is easy to get back to what was working before).

**************

I'm stuck at VP 990. I did the VP 990 standalone and threw all the new files into my VP folder per instructions and fired her up. The UVP back glasses work. The B2S back glasses all work. The DMDs all work. And one table that would not work in VP 921 does work in VP 990.  What is not correct is the play fields.

Here is the issue. While everything works, the play fields are only about half size. I have a 28 inch played monitor and the play field looks about 1/2 size.  I don't how to correct this.  I revert back to my VP 921 folder and all is good. Then I move forward to VP 990 and have a half sized play field.  I have a couple of other small problems but they are nothing until I get this undersized play field issue resolved.

What is happening?  What am I missing?  How do I correct this?  Any help is appreciated.

** my cab is a Win 7 64 bit with an I5 intel processor.

Thanks.

I have 14 9.xx version .exe's available, I added to the end of their name what version they run properly on, and by properly includes full sound effects.

I figured everyone was doing that.

908/911/912/913/914/915/916/920/921/990/990A/991/992/993

Are there any others?

Forward compatible, the tables generally are not.

Is there a chance to add the manual ball moving script to version 9.9.x also? We need it for dumping animations ;) You know what it's good for... Greets, Dom

I downloaded the Zip file and extracted it, but I can't install the program. I've made a Visual Pinball folder a few minutes ago so I could download Visual Pinball, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting started. Sorry if I come across as clueless to you.

I’m looking VP 9.14.. Project request from GitHub for Proc.

It is truly incredible how annoyingly incomplete and outdated everything is in regards to documentation, description texts, setup guides, etc. Truly incredible. Almost like it is intended to keep people away.
