fp dmd future pinball dmd dmd monitor fp fp dmd cabinet

Screenshots
Future DMD will create a virtual dmd that can be positioned in a 3 monitor cabinet similarly to the one used in Visual Pinball for Future Pinball!. Your dmd is no longer limited to your backbox or playfield. If you have a 3 monitor cabinet you can now put your dmd where it belongs! You can choose to leave the DMD running between games or launch from your favorite front end. An example has been included for Hyperpin and Pinballx front ends. Instructions are included in the FutureDMD Setup pdf file.

*NEW* Added a Plugin for PinballX to display game information on FutureDMD while navigating your game lists:

It will show things like:
  • Highlighted game's name
  • Last time played
  • Who holds the High Score
  • How many times the game has been played
  • 2nd and 3rd place scores
  • Average time a game might last
As well as customizable messages can be created for every single table making each one unique!

Afternoon,

I am presently running FP, Future DMD and BAM and it all runs awesomely! So thanks for everyone's hard work. However, how do I remove the grill element of the backglass on my 2nd monitor? I tried adjusting the x/y co-ordinates via the BAM menu but it doesn't seem to have any affect on the  backglass? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

hi,

just got a couple of questions. i am having a couple of small issues with futuredmd. it is working fine but with adams family gold zen version i ant get the  dmd showing via futuredmd. I am having this issue with transformers. just not to sure what is going wrong. All my other future pinball tables work fine.

Any quick tips

I also have an issue on some tables (2 or 3) where FutureDMD will not work. But most of the tables it does. I'm not sure why. Any input would be grateful.

Thanks!

First of all thanks for your amazing contribution to this pinball community, FutureDMD is an amazing piece of software!

I'm trying to finalize my config setup for my cab and ran into some trouble with displaying stuff on the DMD. Some tables (T2 Skynet Ultimate 1.02 for instance) only display the text portion of the DMD and not the animations. With help from the community I think the issue is related to the compression of the DMD images. I tried a modified version of the T2 table and this one displayed the full DMD with animations.

Am I on the right track and is there an easy way to deal with this? Thanks a lot for your time!

GOOD.

dmd-jackpot1.png

Having same issue as mwg.  I start the tables and position DMD in correct spot. When the table actually starts the DMD moves significantly to the right.  When the table exits and just Futuredmd is running, the dmd is in the correct spot.  Any ideas?

Same issue. Was this ever resolved? I use pinball X and the DMD is fine while selecting tables but once a table launches the DMD moves to the right like mentioned above about 20%. I did have everything working great but then got my TV and monitor mounted in a backbox. resized and moved dmd to fit inside the dmd panel. and now it's fine in pinball x but not once a table loads.

Got same problem.  Once the table loads after selecting it in pinballX, it starts the DMD over to the right about 20%.  Very frustrating.

Coolpin,

I fixed this by going into my future pinball settings and changing my screen info I think under preferences video.

Let me know if that works if not I will get you the exact instructions.

I have a 3 screen setup, everything was working great, but I wanted more power; then I upgraded the processor, ram, motherboard.  Did a fresh install of everything, now, I load futureDMD, then load Future Pinball and load a table (any table I have configured to have the DMD use FutureDMD) and I can see the FutureDMD Dots very faintly, not working, but there, I have to click on them with my mouse (which causes the dots to work), and then click on the playfield (to allow the table to take focus and function)  Fairly difficult to use in Pinballx

I have also written a script that waits for FutureDMD to be available, and forces it into focus, but it's not enough, FutureDMD needs the mouse click, it never did this before... I've been working on this same issue for about 15 hours trying to discover what the cause is and changing my configuration multiple times and changing compatibility calls.... I feel like I've tried everything, but I hope there's something I have not tried that I can not think of...

Can anyone please help me figure out why it's doing this? I would really appreciate it, Thank you so much
