Williams Shangri-La EM from 1967

Special Thanks to:
Leon Spalding for his VP8 version from which I borrowed some scoring/gameplay code
Itchigo for his 4 player EM template which I used extensively
UncleWilly for his starter table and all his other tables which I have pulled apart and learned/borrowed from
JP Salas and Pinuck whose tables I studied extensively to learn how to build and borrowed from
Eala for his parts table which was very useful
JimmyFingers for the sounds/sound routines and for his constant support
TheWool for his awesome physics tweaks that make the game play like it should
Pinuck for highscore postit script
Bent98 for the DOF and for moral support
Dick Kanold for providing me with the real Shangri-La that's in a million pieces in my garage waiting to be rebuilt

Best used with VP 9.16
Will work in version 9.15 but primitive flippers may cause graphics corruptions

This table requires the Shangri-La DirectB2sand will not work without it.

What's New in Version 1.0 (See full changelog)

  • fixed score award error
  • added DOF config
  • added highscore postit

Very nice job, works so well with the B2S backglass!  I really love to see so many of the older EM tables getting some play time.  Thank you bodydump, and all who helped you get her ready for us!

First of all, thank you for the table. But why no high score routine? Perhaps the table never had it in real life and the author is keeping it that way for "authenticity". Unfortunately, although I really enjoy playing these old tables, I find I won't play them as much since part of the "thrill" of playing pinball is to break high scores.

I understand what you are saying, but the previous two EM tables that were release "Drop a Card" and "Jumping Jack" had high score counters added and since I want my tables to be as authentic as possible I spent quite a bit of time removing them.  I leave the "post it note" style that pinnuk does as they really look like a "post it" stuck on there for hi scores. Also some backglasses had an opaque bar that was for using a china marker to add high scores as well.  Anyway, the point I was going to make was it would be really nice if the High Score could be optional like the B2S authentic/fantasy option so you could keep the table authentic or add a high score option if you want.

hey guys, high score routine is in there and is on the desktop version.  I like my FS to be as realistic as possible.  The easiest thing to do would be to drag the high score reel on the backdrop onto the apron.  It would be vertical of course.

Nice playing table !

looks brilliant plays superb

love these 60's e.m tables

thanks for making them
