MAJOR UPDATE
INDEPENDENCE DAY v2.2
VP9 Recreation by Nealtron
Based on the 20th Century Fox film Independence Day, ©1996
Also known as "ID4"
Design: Rob Hurtado
Art: Jeff Busch
Dots/Animation: Kurt Andersen
Mechanics: Rob Hurtado
Music & Sound: Brian Schmidt
Software: Neil Falconer, Orin Day
This table is my first Visual Pinball recreation. It has been quite a learning process. I took the liberty of changing some minor details from the real table such as: The Alien Head light illuminates the eyes instead of the space between the two sections, the Space Ship has a red flasher & a white flasher (as opposed to two white flashers), I added a red directional light to the Shoot Lane & a spinner with the ID4 logo to the left ramp.
The .zip file includes the table, B2Bcollision.vbs, and ID4_Rules; extract all files to your Visual Pinball tables folder.
I highly recommend you leave the "HD Render" box checked to insure proper rendering of transparent ramps, spinners and the Alien Eyes lights.
Featuring:
Working "Alien Head" toy
Working "Space Ship" toy
4- Stage Fading Lamps
PK & Steely's "Ball Collision" effect
2- Page Interactive Rule Sheet
Keys/ Button:
Use keys 8 and 9 to adjust ROM volume. (I recommend a volume of 4 or 5 so the sound effects are audible)
Press 7 to enter the ROM menu (where you can make various adjustments including difficulty)
Press R for the Rule Sheet/ Pressing the Center Nudge key (Spacebar) will advance to the next page/ exit
I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS TABLE!!!
Your comments and suggestions are very welcome!

It's about time someone made a great recreation of a Sega table, good job!
Awesome table but i noticed...
bumper4 (right beside the extraball ramp) is only a piece of metal with a rubber ring around, sticking out of the table. But it behaves like a "real bumper" (Force 15) and it blinks when hit.
strange

thanks Nealtron! A real beauty of a table!! And a fun one at that!!
Love this one, thanks
Good table but there is a problem.
The space ship is not displayed. Instead there is a grey rectangle in that area.
