Hi, thanks for your comments.  I'm not using Pinup Popper to show the video, so I couldn't put in a topper.  I actually embedded the video in the Backglass one frame at a time, around 700 frames, then run them sequential to create the movie. .  I'm not against using Pinup Popper, but it's simpler If I can do it all in the Backglass.  These older tables (vintage VP8) use extensive desktop features that are hard to reproduce in Pinup Popper, at least for me

Thanks, I do understand what you mean and I did mean in the backglass, by moving the scoring to the DMD in b2s designer and if someone wants the topper video it's very easy to add to popper and have it continuing to play after selecting the table, I use this for tables I want a topper in, it's simple but it works. I tried to import your b2s file into b2s designer 2.01 but it just errored out, what did you use to create your file?

 

Here's how to remove the DMD screen in the B2s and make the file usable in the B2s Client

1. Open the .directb2s file in a text editor (notepad+, notepad, etc.).  This is possible since the B2S file is just Text formatted as XML
2. Remove the line that starts with <DMDImage Value= and ends with />
3. Save the file

It should now have the DMD screen removed and be usable in the backglass client, and server.

 

The code that I used to embed animations in backglasses must have a bug.  I'll fix it when I get a chance

Great job, thank you!

I installed the 'big'  BG with the movie clips and it reminds me of (a lot) of the movies I've seen...love it!

Question though: 
this Big BG seems more a 2 screen version then a 3 screen as the displays are integrated into the BG.

I'm running a 3 screen setup so with a seperate screen for the display (the flexdmd is alsa great when you enable it in the script) so could you releas a version without the displays in the BG?

That 3-screen version with the embedded movie trailer in the DMD sounds absolutely cracking—shame that's not my neighbor about the 120 MB size limit, but thanks for sharing the link!
