This fun table is from Herweh.
It goes bananas when you get the Jackpot!
I've given it a makeover.
Enjoy

Thanks! Lots of fun - easy to get into, plays great!
is it really updated?
Just wondering how to adjust the volume on this one?
Necroing this for the people looking how to adjust the volume in Laser War (Data East 1987) (yes, google friendly wording right there
), this is what I did.
First of all, you need to see the DMD window, the VPinMAME one. Normally that involves running the table in VPX, pressing F1 to get to the options and checking "Show DMD/Display window".
Once it shows (keep reading if it didn't), you click the window to make it active, and press "the tilde key", which depending on your keyboard could be some other symbol, but it's the key to the left of the "1" on you number row.
A small white bar should show up (probably volume but different games have different things in there) and you can use the arrow keys to navigate to volume and adjust it that way.
In my case that didn't work, the window was nowhere to be seen even if Show DMD window was checked. So, workaround:
- Go to your VPinMAME installation folder and run Setup64.exe.
- Click the "Test" button.
- A window with a million tables will open.
- Scroll the list of tables until you find Laser War (in my case version 8.3 was the one, but I see others as well). Click "Start".
- Two DMD windows appear, the smaller one is the one you want. Click it and use the tilde and arrow keys to do the adjusting.
- It took several tries to make the value stick. I don't know what's up with that. Might have to press the tilde key again to "save" or something.
- Click "Stop".
- Hopefully, go and enjoy the game.
