This table from Shoopity, JPSalas and Dark is a blast!
I've converted it from VP9 to VPX and given it a makeover.
3.0 has new ramps, targets, flippers, layout, physics and lighting.
Enjoy :)

Urrr, fun it is - play it you must.

What's New in Version 3.0 (See full changelog)

  • 1.0 VP9 to VPX conversion
  • 2.0 Playfield, lights, lighting, sound, layout
  • 3.0 New ramps, targets, flippers, layout, physics, lighting

I don't have the other version to compare but I'm not a fan of their style and prefer to do things differently. The other main author here is the same and I don't copy his style either. My perception of pinball comes from many, many years of playing/owning machines and I don't need videos to know if the physics are good. Baked lighting looks totally fake to me because it doesn't illuminate it's surrounds, and adding painted reflections to compensate makes it worse to my eyes. VP10 has amazing lighting capabilities built-in and few authors seem to know how to exploit them. I've spent a lot of time figuring-out what can be accomplished with VP lights, so I'm not reliant on methods developed nearly a decade ago which emulate the now built-in features and have become redundant bloated code. Some guys just won't let go. I didn't learn my methods from tutorials, so I wasn't shackled by anyone's ideas and I used good old trial and error to work out much of it, but I initially started with the best available.

I'm on desktop and I don't have the hardware to test and develop cab/VR-related features, so I keep it simple and folks can add their own plugins and accessories.

My own collection has multiple versions of many tables because I enjoy the variety and I like to sample other offerings and styles, and maybe learn some tricks too.

Thank you for all the updates of late. Also a big thank you for a description of your process. This whole emulation experience has brought back the joy of pinball for me and I'm sure many others here too. I try to play real when I come across them and I try to find arcades in my area. But the amount of "new to me" or "never played tabels" is pure joy to discover and to look out for in the wild.

Good Job with this thank you.

:) Thank's the Update.

Question: Is there a way to move or hide the Star Wars DMD holder in the upper left portion of the screen? Nevermind.  I thought I had checked the background image I was using but apparently I did not look close enough.  :)
