Initial announcement from Jeff:
Lariat
http://www.ipdb.org/...ine.cgi?id=1412
Build/Coding by Loserman76
Artwork by GNance
'* hauntfreaks - newer postit note images, environment file, lighting information, primitives
'* BorgDog - his tables that helped me to understand more with VPX - and I probably lifted a primitive or 2 from them as well
'* GNance - score motor tweaks to behave like a real EM, PostIt routines, Options menu
'* JPSalas - gameroom backdrop
'* Pinuck - Gottlieb chimes and score motor routines
'* Arngrim - DOF coding and information
when game is not in progress, holding down left flipper for about 3-5 seconds will bring up the options menu. left flipper selects item, right flipper changes option
in addition to the "standard" keys (typically "1" to start game and "5" for coin), I've added "3" for coin and "4" for coin and auto-start game to simulate 3 coin slots
Shadow config settings:
Look for these 2 lines near the beginning of the scripting:
Const ShadowFlippersOn = true
Const ShadowBallOn = true
change to false if you want either of the shadows not showing on your tables
My view on Lariat: I have never seen the table in real and I have my doubts that one of the 150 made has eventually reached Europe ... but a few flaws in the recreations were never corrected, so I offer here my Version 1.0a:
GAME:
- new physic (cab optimized)
- new POV
- slight layout corrections in order to reduce ball losts
- all object sounds are now in operation and volume levels balanced
- upper bumpers are now passive - but counting, otherwise a correct game operation ist most unlikely (you never hit the "3") -> see "under the table view" in the IPDB
- outer lower Bumpers now wired in parallel
- all bumpers have trigger plates in colored plastic
- new ball
- new ball position in shooter lane, new sounds
- new timing, ball ejected when rotator in end position
- improved vari- targets (thanks to Albert for the hint!)
- new light control for the general game illumination, off when switched on ... and on when game over
BACKGLASS:
- "rolling" score reels
- new illumination according to the original game
- all displays are now illuminated in game over state
zip contains game, BG and pics for cab users
All this in kind tribute to Jeff Whitehead.

Thank you, your updates are so wonderful!! Thank you to any/all who contributed!
Hi Christian,
a few days before I played "Wild Wild West" at my cab - now I thought about a deja vue - it's almost the same.
Did a IPDB search - indeed "Lariat" is just a "replay" version of "Wild Wild West".
But very nice made by you; physics, lights, sounds, all very good.
One hint: The given DOF settings of Wild Wild West are working 1to1 with this Lariat. Just replace cgamename to "WildWildWest_1969" and there is DOF ;-)
Desktop;
Well done thank you.
Very nice!
