playboy data east 1989 anniversary
Based on the table by Data East from 1989
Thanks to Pancake for the plastic scans.
Thanks to HiRez00 for the pictures of the real table and for the wheel image.
The playfield's layout should be as close as I can make it to the real one, even if I made the playfield myself by redrawing and copying/pasting a lot
Notes about the table:
* The RAMPS: they are blue by default, but use the F12 menu to change the color. I simply don't like plastic ramps, I feel they make the tables feel cheap
* The Darker Levels: again, use the F12 menu to select the dark level you prefer. There are 10 normal levels and 10 warmer levels, if you prefer that look.
* There is a nice directb2s at vpuniverse made by Wildman.
Enjoy!

What's New in Version 6.0.0 (See full changelog)
- 6.0.0 Updated September 2025
- - Moved LUT to User Options (F12)
- - Added some extra options to the User Options (F12)
- - Updated physics to my latest rev 4.3.1. mostly bouncier rubbers and harder flippers.
- - Added an option to change to Marilyn graphics
- 5.5.0 Updated 14.12.2024
- - New playfield mesh to avoid the ball getting stuck on top of the flippers.
- - Fixed my ball spin control, which were too aggressive, and it killed the ball's acceleration, making the ball too slow, getting stuck on ramps, and also being unable to climb the ramps on many tables.
- - Updated for VPX8 (adjusted reflections, equirectangular ball, linked flashers to lights, incandescent lights)
- - Updated physics to my Rev3. Including physics materials, flipper code and slingshot shapes.
- - Updated LUT images and display system, 10 darker shades and 10 warmer shades.
- - some graphical changes (playfield mesh with holes, metal wall guides, lights warmer)
- - added a screenshot for scutters file explorer handler
- 4.3 Updated 1.11.2023
- - Updated physics to my Rev3. Including physics materials, flippers and slingshot shapes.

Thanks JP!
This is an awesome table, one of my favorite DE tables. I love how you implemented the mansion, very creative use of the tool.
One comment, I believe "sw28" goes by the mansion gate, "Gate004". Making the right ramp should also spot MANSION and trigger the multiball. Here is an example - "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbdioZm4umc&t=419s"
Thanks! I felt the right ramp didn't trigger anything special
I'll check the table and the manual
I made a change in the revision 1.0.3 so that trigger is also activated by the right ramp.
Merci JP, tres jolie table, je remarque que cette table ne ce lance pas chez moi, avec VPX 64bits
Great table JP. Only my table sometimes seems to have some side lane kickback ejection problems. Have any pils for that
. Excelent copy/pasting done. Like the posibility to change the ramp color. Also like the backglass. Thank you so much for this.
Kickback fix... try moving the sw17 slightly upwards until its central midpoint is level with the bottom of sw17a. I have thrown lots of balls at it and seems to be working correctly now. See support topic for image.
je repose ma question pourquoi la table fonctionne pas avec 64x vpx? merci
Fantastic as "ALWAYS" - JP !

Thanks Gravy. Will give that a try.
Excellent work and love also the updated version with Marilyn artwork. I have a bunch of front end media I made for the Marilyn version of the table over on VPU also.
