Initial announcement from Jeff:
Initially was going to be a conversion of PBecker's VP9x table, but wound up using Greywolf's images instead since he gave me permission for them
Thanks to PBecker and Itchigo for the VP9x version.
ZIP includes a wheel and a new B2S
MOD only by permission of ALL parties involved. And for God's sake, don't include it as part of a commercial cab.
My view on Strato Flite:
Strato Flite was a big success from Williams, when I worked (in school vacation) in the late 70's at an amusement machines operating company the coin boxes of these games were FULL. And I loved to play it, as well. Now I love to play the VPX version I offer you here with Version 1.0c.
I made the following changes:
- new physic (cab optimized)
- slight layout change -> reduces ball losses between the flipper fingers and left outer side lanes
- many new (nearly all) sounds e.g. gate, stand up targets, kicker holes ....
- randomize for angle and force for the kicker hole
- all lights are adjusted in color temperature and brightness
- now the gates closes when the ball returns into the plunger lane
- the alternator is now triggered by earning 10 points
- improved ball and ball position in the plunger lane
- new timing for ball release
- new POV for cab use
- the black spot on the apron left is removed
- the plastics illumination stays always on except when tilted (the original behavior of all Williams EMs)
- I used my score reels, the animation of rotation is aligned with Jeff's score motor speed, so the count of e.g. 500 point is in look and sound synchronized
- new fonts for illuminated messages
- each one light bulb for each score reel
- and all score reels become illuminated in game over state
- ZIP contains game, BG and cab pics
I made the following changes (1.0d):
- all object sounds in operation - makes a real difference
- bumper physics improved, more natural behavior
- ZIP contains game, BG and cab pics
All this in kind tribute to Jeff Whitehead.
