I cannot get the rom for this to work to save my life. Tried downloading it from multiple sources, including Stern themselves. Tried putting it in a zip file, tried putting it in it's own directory, tried renaming everything fg_1200af. No matter what I do, I get the "terminated before initialization error".

You can get the ROM from the Stern site. Be sure to grab the English-French one.

THEN, just rename the entire downloaded file as "fg_1200af.zip" without other question

Place the file into your "roms" folder

The only thing that i did to make it work (I had the same error as you before), was change the name of the file to: fg_1200af. Then i put it on my roms folder and it worked fine.
