V 1.0.2 - This is a standalone title that does not require Visual Pinball.

I hope you all enjoy this re-creation/emulation of Taito's Ice Cold Beer!  I did my very best to preserve the machines physics and gameplay rules.

Thanks very much to the multiple hardware beta testers that found bugs that I would not have known about (using only one set of hardware).  These guys worked hard to relay important information to me, and it is appreciated.

Thanks to Todd Moore for the 'Fantasy mode' music.
Thanks to Steely for providing the playfield model and texture as well as work on the control panel texture, and thanks to the Visual Pinball table authors for providing the bezel artwork and game sounds.

Press 'O' for options. - All options will be saved for next time you load the game.

What's New in Version 1.0.2 (See full changelog)

  • v1.0.0 - Initial release
  • v 1.0.1 - Changed the Options button from 'G' to 'O'. 'G' was causing issues with iPac right stick default set to 'G'
  • - Made changes to the hard-coded arrow keys. Defaulted Up and Down arrow to left stick (as thats what iPac defaults to) Thanks MAME-FAN for your input.
  • - Fixes to the Prompt time bar movement, and removal of the 'death' after the bonus timer runs to 0. Thanks Shockman for your input.
  • v 1.0.2 -
  • - Small but important fix on the nudge movement that I missed on the last update.
  • - Moved Decor arcade cabinets in closer and made the credits poster smaller.

I just discovered this game and I'm thoroughly impressed. I'm using the keyboard now I'm ready to build a little joystick panel to play this with. One criticism/question(?) - when pushing up on both joysticks, the ball seems very jumpy. It doesn't do this in the physical game. Was this intentional? Or a limitation of the software? Or is there something wrong with my configuration? Thanks for putting in all this work!

Hi!  I'm glad you enjoy it.   The ball should not bounce/jump, but I have also seen this myself in the VR version when graphics settings are too high.  I think it is a limitation of CPU/GPU power causing the physics to hiccup.  I guess my suggestion would be to turn the resolution/graphics options way down and see if it helps.  If it does help, then maybe you need a bit more powerful PC to run the game.  What are your specs?

You were right! I turned down the settings and even though it looked pretty bad, no jumping. I switched over to computer that has a better graphics card and it works great. It's kind of strange because machine #1 has pretty decent specs. I play PC games, switch emulation, etc. fine. i7-6700, 16GB, GeForce GTX745. Thanks again for the great game. I'll plan to put together a double joystick for it.

Great to hear.   Your CPU is definitely powerful enough, but that GTX745 is a 9 year old card, and it was pretty low-spec even back then.  Thanks for providing feedback, as I was sort of curious what the low-end GPU threshold was.

Holy crap, I just downloaded this and for kicks wanted to see if it looked OK on my pinball cab's playfield screen (set as vertical orientation) and it looked amazing! Unfortunately, I can't play it natively on my cab just using the two flipper buttons on each side because my cabinet has hard-coded keyboard controls, and the lower right button is hardcoded as 'v', sharing your same keyboard control for changing the view.  Is there any config file or registry area that I can adjust what these other default keys can be set to? ('1' - Game start, '2' - Toggle Game Mode, 'O' - Options menu, 'V' - Toggle view, 'B' - Toggle Bezel, 'Esc' - Quit Game).

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.   At the moment there is no way to reconfigure those keys.   Shoot me a PM, and I can maybe create you a special build for your controls (no promises, but we might be able to work something out.)

Thanks man !
