YOU NEED THE DMD TO PLAY THE NON CLASSIC VERSION

 There are 2 Separate tables.

Classic table is a standard stock pin, no fantasy physics, no crazy lighting or effects, no music, no nutty sounds, no DMD, no videos etc
If you want just a classic 1983 era table, then you will want that version.
It comes with a simple B2S that will fit on your 16.9 screen, or there is an OEM looking 4.3 backglass in the downloads area

Classic table has updated lighting for 10.8
Physics are based on JP's Physics 4
Script is much cleaned up
SSF sounds are revised.
It works with the DOF config Heavymtl
Removed collision from prims

Fantasy Table is an over the top version inline with the concept of the movie.
It has music from the movie.
It has a DMD with clips from the movie, table events, scoring etc
It has updated 10.8 lighting, it has crazy lighting effects
It has the table physics of a full freight train flying off a cliff at 100mph
It has crazy sounds
It has a modified version of JP's Physics 4
Removed collision from prims
A number of script issue have been resolved, some was rewritten to work more efficient.
For single screen users it has an option to do away with the external DMD and display the DMD on the apron.
It has a simplified hig rez backglass
The DMD supports real DMD displays and LCD DMD displays that only fit a normal sized DMD
For LCD users you can also chose to run one of 4 DMD resolutions
              128 x 32 dots
              256 x 64 dots
              128 x 71 dots
              256 x 143 dots
The last 2 sizes are suitable for running a Full Screen DMD
For LCD users, the table comes with a standard 4.1 and a 16.9 aperture DMD frame
A text file is also included with copy/paste DMD styles and instructions on what to do with them
(Full screen Example)

Both tables support FSS mode for those who use it

** NOTE ** the table will force you to set your user options before it will let you play
It is supposed to do that, all the options are explained and are all by themselves at the top of the script there are only a few.
Set these before you try playing and you want even see the warning

READ ME files comes with download

Hello, great job!

how do I disable the fluorescent lighting on the ball and the flashes when we trigger the flipper?

I like having the table more faithful to the original ...

hug

the ball is explained in the user options of the script

the flashes, you will have to edit the lamps yourself, set their intensity to 0 is probably the easiest to do.
(actually, just comment out the flash in the flipper subs)

the table was not designed to be the original, there is a 1.0 version you might want instead, or Destruk's original version

Thanks for this great upgrade!  The DMD scenes are worth the price of admission alone!  In fact, I'm going to rent this and watch with my 16 year old this weekend and show him what real 80's anime looks like.

Was there any resolution to the flickering on the DMD? I'm running 10.7 and at certain times, its trying to show the orange numbering through the DMD scenes.

Thanks again!

This newest version is fantastic!  Thank you.

I would like to add and remove some music tracks.

Is there anything I need to do besides putting the mp3's in the HeavyMetal music folder?

Rock on.
This is EPIC.

Yes...I'm using FlexDMD. It doesn't do it all the time, but when the video playback is on my Pin2DMD, I see it flicker with orange numerals from time to time. Not a huge deal but distracting.

can not say why it does that on the pin 2 dmd

are you sure it isnt supposed to be showing orange numbers?

It does show score and ball count and player up etc

Just saw some play of this table, looks really cool. Thanks for the work.

So I have been away from vp for awhile..

1.3.5 everything worked  music video etc.

1.4.1 I loose music.  Imagine it is something simple that has changed but I have yet to find what.

EDIT didn't take long to figure it out after posting. Either case incase someone new or maybe a little rusty comes around the 1.4.1 table download comes with music option set to 1 in script (turned off) set back to 0 and all is good.

1.4.1 has a lot of options at the top of the script
It will even let you play it pretty close to stock, with fairly tame physics, no DMD no music etc.
