**** DUE TO NEW FORUM HOSTFILE SIZE LIMIT, DMD FOLDER IS A SEPARATE DOWNLOAD, PUT ENTIRE HvyMtl.DMD FOLDER IN YOUR TABLES FOLDER ****
YOU NEED THE DMD TO PLAY THE NON CLASSIC VERSION

 There are 2 Separate tables.

Classic table is a standard stock pin, no fantasy physics, no crazy lighting or effects, no music, no nutty sounds, no DMD, no videos etc
If you want just a classic 1983 era table, then you will want that version.
It comes with a simple B2S that will fit on your 16.9 screen, or there is an OEM looking 4.3 backglass in the downloads area

Classic table has updated lighting for 10.8
Physics are based on JP's Physics 4
Script is much cleaned up
SSF sounds are revised.
It works with the DOF config Heavymtl
Removed collision from prims

Fantasy Table is an over the top version inline with the concept of the movie.
It has music from the movie.
It has a DMD with clips from the movie, table events, scoring etc
It has updated 10.8 lighting, it has crazy lighting effects
It has the table physics of a full freight train flying off a cliff at 100mph
It has crazy sounds
It has a modified version of JP's Physics 4
Removed collision from prims
A number of script issue have been resolved, some was rewritten to work more efficient.
For single screen users it has an option to do away with the external DMD and display the DMD on the apron.
It has a simplified hig rez backglass
The DMD supports real DMD displays and LCD DMD displays that only fit a normal sized DMD
For LCD users you can also chose to run one of 4 DMD resolutions
              128 x 32 dots
              256 x 64 dots
              128 x 71 dots
              256 x 143 dots
The last 2 sizes are suitable for running a Full Screen DMD
For LCD users, the table comes with a standard 4.1 and a 16.9 aperture DMD frame
A text file is also included with copy/paste DMD styles and instructions on what to do with them
(Full screen Example)

Both tables support FSS mode for those who use it

** NOTE ** the table will force you to set your user options before it will let you play
It is supposed to do that, all the options are explained and are all by themselves at the top of the script there are only a few.
Set these before you try playing and you want even see the warning

So this isn't all a negative bug report:  Once I started playing, it's great!  The ball may be fast, but it feels good.  The music and lights are especially nice.

Line: 227

Variable is undefined: 'B2SOff'

Similar error when running in mode 1&2.  If I define B2SOff then Mode 1 works, but the other 2 hang/crash at loading scripts.

Errors after the B2SOff error, if it's not defined.  Have used Ultra and Flex on other tables.  Am running 10.6.0

edit:  I typed that out and didn't even realize.  Will try updating to 10.6.2, try it again

Nope, same set of errors on 10.6.2

Well..

Line: 227

Variable is undefined: 'B2SOff'

This means 1 of 2 things

1) somehow your scripts are not up to date, even though you updated to 10.6.2
Did you allow the zip to overwrite all 88 or so files it asked to?

or

2) You have VBS files in your tables folder, and they do not belong there.
The only VBS file that should ever be in the tables folder, would be a VBS file with the same exact name as the table itself
And that would only be on a limited per table basis.
And i would recommend replacing the tables script with the contents of the VBS file instead, and never putting the VBS file in any of the visual pinball folders.

And the reason i know it means one of those two things is
B2SOFF is defined in Controller.VBS

Everything updated with the 10.6.2 date, no vbs files in my tables folder, and I took a look in the controller.vbs - B2SOff isn't used, but B2SOn is.  I changed the references to it and flipped the logic, now table works flawlessly.

Only issue now is the DMD - on both Ultra and Flex (just re-installed), the animated (apron) DMD is drawn on the external DMD, flashing between the regular and animated.  Only combination that works is: Mode=3, ApronDMDShow=1, ShowFlexDMD=0, ShowUltraVirtual=1

Dunno why, and not gonna mess with it any more as this works for me!  Just gonna enjoy the table now.  Thank you for the work and the support

1) Your controller.vbs is wrong then
You do not have the right one, and it is not the one from 1.6.2

Dim DOFeffects(9)
Dim B2SOn
Dim B2SOnALT
Dim B2SOff
B2SOff = False

and

if B2SOff then
		tempc = 1
	end if

If you dont get the scripts fixed, you may well run into issues with other tables later

Only issue now is the DMD - on both Ultra and Flex (just re-installed), the animated (apron) DMD is drawn on the external DMD, flashing between the regular and animated.

? Define regular and animated ?

make sure you are not using Use External DLL in vpinmame, cause it sounds like you maybe are
you dont need the vpm display period in any fashion
table has plenty of options for displaying the score

I'll check the external .dll setting. By regular I mean the segment numbers only, and animated is the actual dot matrix with the cartoons. The DMD tries to show both on alternating frames.

The X62 files from github and VPForums have in the controller.vbs

Dim DOFeffects(9)
Dim B2SOn
Dim B2SOnALT

...

Sub LoadController(TableType)
...
B2SOn = False
B2SOnALT = False
tempC = 0

If there's a more complete version somewhere, please let me know

Pull the script pack out of 10.7 beta

But the thing is, no one else is having that issue, and a lot of people dont even have 1.6.2

so i am not sure how it is that you are not getting the proper scripts?

And if you are seeing numbers like  4, 6 digit arrangements and 2 single digit ones, probably in  orange?
Yes, that would be the pinmame display, showing through freezy's, so you must have use external DLL checked
because the table itself has an option to show or not show the vpm display, but it does not share the window with flexDMD
that only happens of user external DLL is checked

The flickering was indeed the external .dll, but couldn't get external DMD at all without it.  Went ahead and fully upgraded to 10.7, now everything works as it should.

Again, I really like what you've done with the table!  Just want to clearly communicate any bugs I find, in case someone else runs into it.

That is very odd that 1.6.2 did not properly update for you
It is supposed to be the same exact package as 10.7, aside from the executable itself of course

But same script package etc as far as i knew.

but i ran a diff on some of the scripts, and they are not updated
so i left toxie a note on the 1.6.2 support thread

Hello, great job!

how do I disable the fluorescent lighting on the ball and the flashes when we trigger the flipper?

I like having the table more faithful to the original ...
