This is a VPX conversion/rework of my VP9 table. Updated with rubbers, rolling sounds, etc.

The credit key can be temperamental but that is an issue with the ROM and can't currently be fixed.

DOF users may experience constant clicking when save gate is opened and is not currently recommended for use on this table.

What's New in Version 1.4 (See full changelog)

  • 1.4
  • -Changed coding for the movable gate in the left center lane which was broken with the updated ROM. This is recommended as the sounds are more accurate and the temperamental insert coin issue is fixed. Make sure to have the file 20252-01.bin in your ROM file and the latest version of PinMAME.
  • -Added missing plate on wall where ball is released.
  • 1.3
  • -Fixed issue preventing ball from entering top right saucer section (2000 pts).
  • -Added option for alternate colors on "Players" lights. Added option for numbers on those lights. You may need to restart Visual Pinball for the change to properly take effect.
  • -Shifted art on top of bumpers.
  • 1.2
  • -New primitive wire guides, gates and cabinet box as well a new plunger courtesy of 32assassin.
  • -Reduced blooming effect on lights and other lighting adjustments.
  • -Adjusted rubber hit height and friction.
  • -Added sound for save gate.
  • -Removed switch from upper left lane (which was correctly placed in 1.1).
  • -Top decal in cabinet mode removable in script (line 20).
  • 1.1
  • -Fixed incorrect and missing switches.
  • -Cleaned up plastics.
  • -Reduced friction on rubbers.
  • -Targets shake when hit.
  • -Various touch-ups to the playfield.

Thank you.

Interesting table with brand new rubbers. I think it has outworn in half a year and then does not play so bouncy anymore.

I have been having issues with the aavenger.zip file. I see two versions of it. One with two files contained in the zip file and another with 3 files in the zip file.

Either one that I use do not work.

The ROM I use has 3 files. I'm not sure what the issue is.

I redownloaded rom. Working fine now.

* Wha-ha-HOOOOAHHHH NELLIE!!!-* Have we got just a little BOUNCE on them thar flippers! .. but I just gotta say, it really suits this table well! Now, with this added bounce, it's possible to kick the daylights outta that messenger ball in the middle. It's also possible to hit all the other more difficult shots. like that spinner and kicker on the left, and that kicker on the upper right. These added physics make this table much more playable. Way to go, Darth!

Works great. Thanks a lot.

thanks for this atari

ROM is missing the 20252-01.bin. What is the correct one to use?

Looks like there is a new ROM. This thread should help:

Thank you. I will try that.

Edit: It worked perfectly! I thought I was on the most updated SAM version but I guess not. :) Thanks again!
