Iron Man Stern SAM

Screenshots
Based on the Stern table Iron Man from 2010.
Playfield made by me. Others graphics are from Stern's table.

Notes:
I made this table several years ago while I was beta testing VPX. It was never meant to be uploaded, so give thanks to Carlos Guizzo who convinced me to upload it. :)
I was going to make this table to play without the ROM, and I started with a new playfield. I finished the playfield, but at that time the beta VPX came out and I rebuilt the table using VPX. It played so good that I forgot about the original script and I simply made it using Stern's rom. At the end the plastics were made form Stern's table too. So the only original image is the playfield. This is another tables, like the Transformers, were I made wire ramps instead of plastics ramps. Who found out that plastic ramps was the best in an IRON Man table?
Since this table was never meant to be released, it does not contain DOF or other commands, but it is playable in a cabinet or FS modes. There is already an Iron Man table for VPX, so please don't start making mods of this table.

Although there are some changes in the table from the original, still it should play as close as possible to the real one.

It uses the rom from Iron Man Vault Edition, which can be downloaded from Stern's web site and renamed to im_183ve.zip

What's New in Version 6.0.0 (See full changelog)

  • 6.0.0 Updated September 2025
  • - Moved LUT to User Options (F12)
  • - Added some extra options to the User Options (F12)
  • - Updated physics to my latest rev 4.3.1. mostly bouncier rubbers and harder flippers.
  • - Activated the modulated flashers as default.
  • 5.5.0 Updated 13.12.2024
  • - New playfield mesh to avoid the ball getting stuck on top of the flippers.
  • - Fixed my ball spin control, which were too aggressive, and it killed the ball's acceleration, making the ball too slow, getting stuck on ramps, and also being unable to climb the ramps on many tables.
  • 5.0.1 Updated 06.12.2024
  • - New playfield mesh to stop the ball stuck on top of the flippers.
  • 5.0.0 Updated 19.07.2024
  • - Updated for VPX8 release version (adjusted reflections, lights & flashers, equirectangular ball, flipper animations)
  • - some graphical changes (playfield mesh with holes, incandescent lights)

  • - Changed the Environment image to enhance a little the object shadows.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy. Three more beauty machines.

I love the playability and the realistic physics of your versions.

Sweet mother of Pearl.  You cranked out three tables this week.  Wow.  Thank you.

Josh--same issue here

Keep getting a "game name not found" but from the VP console I can't bring the script up (same with the other new tables).  It's only a blank window.  I did DL the ROM from the Stern site and renamed it but it only has a bin file in it. I've had nothing but problems trying to run Stern tables so any help or hints would be welcome

Scratch tha

cant get the last 3 stern tables working >> :( x

Wonderful table!! Thank you...….
