Based on the characters of the computer game Diablo III by Blizzard Entertainment.

jpsalas: VPX table (layout, script)
scottywic: graphics & sounds (including DMD)
STAT: b2s (will be uploaded separately)
arngrim: DOF script commands
thalamus: dragons 3d mesh

This table could have never been finished if scottywic hadn't remade all the graphics, and made all the sounds and animations for the DMD, and he tested and tested and came up with changes here and there. So a big thanks to him :)

The table is an original, so don't look for roms :)
It uses UltraDMD or FlexDMD, so just copy the Diablo.UltraDMD folder in the same folder as the table.
And read the manual. There aren't complicated rules or modes, the game play should straightforward, but reading will help you understand the table and what are the goals.

This table is a cooperative table. The different players do not play against each other but they unite against the Lords of Hell. Still each player will have each own score, bonus, experience level, etc.

Still reading? Go and play it :)

What's New in Version 6.0.0 (See full changelog)

  • 6.0.0 Updated September 2025
  • - Moved LUT to User Options (F12)
  • - Added some extra options to the User Options (F12)
  • - Updated physics to my latest rev 4.3.1. mostly bouncier rubbers and harder flippers.
  • 5.5.0 Updated 12.12.2024
  • - New playfield mesh to avoid the ball getting stuck on top of the flippers.
  • - Fixed my ball spin control, which were too aggressive, and it killed the ball's acceleration, making the ball too slow, getting stuck on ramps, and also being unable to climb the ramps on many tables.
  • 5.0.1 Updated 06.12.2024
  • - New playfield mesh to stop the ball stuck on top of the flippers.
  • 5.0.0 Updated 11.06.2024
  • - Updated for VPX8 release version (adjusted reflections, lights & flashers, equirectangular ball)
  • - added a screenshot for scutters file explorer handler
  • 4.3 Updated 1.11.2023
  • - Updated physics to my Rev3. Including physics materials, flippers and slingshot shapes.
  • - Updated LUT images, 10 shades and 10 warmer shades.
  • - Updated to my latest set of mechanical sounds.
  • 4.0.3 Updated 08.12.2022
  • - Removed a small fix to avoid a crash with large score numbers in the older version of UltraDMD. This should not be a problem anymore using FlexDMD or the newest UltraDMD.
  • 4.0.2 Updated 26.09.2022
  • - New dragon mesh by thalamus. This will remove some ball stutter at the slingshots, due to too many polygons of the old dragons.
  • 4.0.1 Updated 23.09.2022
  • - fixed Belial mode not being able to finish him after loosing the multiballs.
  • - added an Malthael attacking mode, from easy, to hard and insane attacks. Change it at the top of the script. The default is hard mode :)
  • 4.0.0 Updated 22.9.2022
  • - Updated to my VPX7 physics
  • - cleaned up and deleted unused graphics & reduced the size of the table
  • - Added my VPX7 LUT changer to darken the table (hold down LEFT CTRL while change with RIGHT CTRL). Including GI brightness adjustment. Use the LUT changer together with the day/night slider to give the table the level of darkness you prefer.
  • - Updated my mechanical set of sounds to a more "under the glass" sound, as people seem to like those kind of sounds better.
  • - Changed the Environment image to enhance a little the object shadows.
  • - Some small small script updates, like the Rolling sound and PlaySoundAt routines.
  • - Added SSF sound commands.
  • 1.0.3 03 May 2017
  • -DOF script commands by arngrim
  • 1.0.2 19 April 2017
  • - Added an extra check in the ColorCode Function to fix any array errors that may occur.
  • - Changed the Highscore entry to show just the first letter instead of showing 3 letters AAA.
  • 1.0.1 STAT added some extra B2S commands to the script.
  • 1.0.0 Released 31 March 2017

thanks for this table which works perfectly

have only one problem my plunger is reversed and i can't change it in vpx option cause change all tables

have you ever had the problem?

Pas mal du tout !

i have some issues, i dont know what to do. i cant launch the table through vpx, all i got is the backglass, but if i double click the table file 1/3 time i can get backglass, dmd and playfield not sure what can i do to fix this. i am using 1.0.3 DOF.

Autoplunger during multiball does not work for me (nice to have some balls in spare ;-), but i guess its not intended). Besides this, Diablo is maybe the best original table available in my opinion!

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome table indeed!

when i go to act 5 at certain moment the ball disappear (not loose) and i cant play again. the game continue but without ball. if i tilt the next ball start but he repeat the same way. how is the bug?

Hello

find in itself the table very good only that the ball is accelerated from time to time kommisch is not so my taste. Have heard that a kind of magnet (virtual :) should be responsible for this.

Could I turn off the magnet in the script, so that the ball does not behave so strangely (is just a matter of taste - I would want to have the table a little more agile, even if it is probably not in the sense of the table builder).

otherwise a beautiful table

JP, I have to say this table sets a high bar. Diablo has become one of my top two favorites tables along with Medieval Madness.  Thank you so much for this table and all the hard work that went into it.

I played this table all night last night, and the night before, and the night before.   One game went on forever, then the next game lasted 5 seconds.  Kudos on the way Pinball should be, luck has a lot to do with it, sometimes a game does not go so well, and sometimes it goes very well.

One of my favorites.  Thank you so much JP and Scotty!  You are both very, very good at what you do.
