My other friend in Argentina, Leo, asked me for this table for VPX (well, he asked for a bunch of them, :) ). So this is for you Leo :)

I rebuilt the table in VPX and use the old script as a base. I had to remake the images since I managed to save my old ones with the old VP lightning.

What's New in Version 6.0.0 (See full changelog)

  • 6.0.0 Updated September 2025
  • - Moved LUT to User Options (F12)
  • - Added some extra options to the User Options (F12)
  • - Updated physics to my latest rev 4.3.1. mostly bouncier rubbers and harder flippers.
  • 5.5.0 Updated 12.12.2024
  • - New playfield mesh to avoid the ball getting stuck on top of the flippers.
  • - Fixed my ball spin control, which were too aggressive, and it killed the ball's acceleration, making the ball too slow, getting stuck on ramps, and also being unable to climb the ramps on many tables.
  • - Updated for VPX8 (adjusted reflections, equirectangular ball, linked flashers to lights, incandescent lights)
  • - Updated physics to my Rev3. Including physics materials, flipper code and slingshot shapes.
  • - Updated LUT images and display system, 10 darker shades and 10 warmer shades.
  • - some graphical changes (playfield mesh with holes, metal wall guides, lights warmer)
  • - added a screenshot for scutters file explorer handler
  • 4.0.0 Updated 27.9.2022
  • - Updated to my VPX7 physics
  • - cleaned up and deleted unused graphics & reduced the size of the table
  • - Added my VPX7 LUT changer to darken the table (hold down LEFT CTRL while change with RIGHT CTRL). Including GI brightness adjustment. Use the LUT changer together with the day/night slider to give the table the level of darkness you prefer.
  • - Updated my mechanical set of sounds to a more "under the glass" sound, as people seem to like those kind of sounds better.
  • - Changed the Environment image to enhance a little the object shadows.
  • - Some small small script updates, like the Rolling sound and PlaySoundAt routines.
  • 3.0 Updated 24.11.2020
  • Updated script, images & physics:
  • - added the arcade physics 3.0
  • - removed workarounds for the vpinmame droptargets as they fully support SSF (hit sounds) with the latest vpinmame.
  • - new rolling routine that now includes the ball shadow, the ball drop sound from Rothbauer and my ball speed control.
  • - Easy change of the ambient lightning: Hold down LeftMagnaSave and with RightMagnaSave it will switch between LUT images, from light to dark, 9 levels, and the selection will be saved for the table.
  • - some extra collision sounds and more random hit sounds.
  • - added SSF sound support
  • 1.3.0 updated 25.02.2018
  • - Increased the playfield resolution. I know it is not a real 4K, the letters will more readable at higher resolutions.
  • - changed a little the lights and flashers
  • - added a backdrop for the desktop version.
  • - added the rules in the table info, rules.
  • 1.2.0 updated 31.12.2016
  • - updated for VPX 10.2 and vpinmame 2.8
  • 1.0.1 Updated 4 June 2016
  • - fixed blinking lights 2x and 3x
  • 1.0 Released 21 May 2016

I changed the flippers too, to make them faster...Only 2 parameters:

RETURN STRENGTH= 0,5 ( like JPs VPX Harlem Globetrotters)

COIL RAMP UP=  1 ( Like JPs VPX Harlem Globetrotters)

:)

Thx a lot!

I love especially the ball rolling sound and the change of light (e.g. the fading out bumpers)   :)

Regards :)

This is "THE" table from my youth and the reason I built my cab, thanks JP.

Qu: I can't remember (35 years is a long time since playing the original) if Extra Ball stayed lit to following balls?  Is this an option with this table, or do I just need to get better and get that sucker on a per ball basis? ;)

Amazing- Just keep coming back to it-

Addictive- thank you sir.

just great :) thank you

Each time I play this (and I play it a lot, it was my Pinball addiction starter in the early 80's) I think, how did he do that. The physics and graphics are so realistic it's incredible! Thanks again and again!

Absolutely stunning table, such realism
