The 50's on top are not thump bumpers and do not kick the ball on the real pin.  Also, the ball is very jerky and on launch, seems to always thud against the right side. I have a Silverballmania downstairs that I just played and the ball action is very different. With VPX, I've noticed a graphics improvement, however, the physics have gotten farther away from real pinball, and are actually starting to feel more like Future pinball, unfortunately. If you go back and play anything authored by Pinuck, they are the most natural feeling games that have been emulated. I really appreciate everything that all the authors present for us to play, but I'm also sure that honest input is good for improving the program and the community.

Totally agree with you SF! The VPX tables LOOK phenomenal but for gameplay, I still play Vp9 tables... Especially the pm5 tables. There are a few VPX tables that do play pretty well

when I build a table the only resources I have is

google images

YouTube videos

if I'm lucky a service manual.

I don't have a table to show me what the ball is suppose to do when it hits any object.

I don't know if you know this,  but Grony adjusted his physics to his table Attack from Mars because he had the actual table to compare it to.

feel free to take this table and update the physics given that you have the table in your house,  I'm sure that many people will appreciate that and will be more beneficial than just your honest input.

Now you're onto something. I played SM all the time years ago in the arcade and know the table well. This version plays very well. One of the key things in this game is to be able to make that loop in the center. On previous versions, I found it very hard to do. This is for sure, the best version I've seen. Thank you.---a little "bouncy" up there on those top bumpers.

Anything unusual to get DOF working on this? Cant seem to get it to work...

[update] Had to tell the config tool I was using the 7 digit rom slbmanib

on what version of VP should i play this table?

Enjoyed playing this table. Thanks for another fun table.  FYI ... To get the DOF effect for the right spinner to work, the "Name" of that spinner needed to be changed from Spinner to something else (e.g. Spinner2)  along with the corresponding script line #201. Unfortunately, I'm not sure why.

Beautiful table, geat work
