Here is my first VPX Release.

Attack from Mars / 1995 Bally

This Version features the Desktop Version and also the Fullscreen/Cab Version.

Features:

1. Builded with a real AFM Machine next to me
2. Mechanical sounds recorded from the AFM Machine
3. Authentic Physics allowing most kinds of tricks you can perform on a real machine.
4. Aliens based on JP´s Release with modification on the arms so they shake.
5. Working "Dirty Pool"
6. DOF/B2S Support added by Arngrim
7. Real Mainsaucer behavior based on the script by JP with some finetune in movement
8. All Primitives with exept of the standard objects and the aliens are modeled by me.

Credits:

Thanks to JP for helping me to find solutions for the "Dirty Pool" and other Scripting Problems!!
Thanks to Arngrim for adding the DOF/B2S Feature to the table!!
Thanks to Martin for his AFM Machine I used to build up this table!!

And of course a special thanks to you all for positive feedback and support!!

Important!
The viewing angels I choosed are the one that I prefer to play with. I guess many or most users prefer other settings.
Since VPX this is no longer a problem. Just select "Table - Camera /Light Mode" in the editor and you can easily make
a camera setup to your liking in seconds. Same deal with the lightning. If you want to change the lightning of the table
just use the Lightningslider in the playfield menu.

If you play on a cab and want to remove the metalrails, just open script editor and in the "Table Components" Dropdown
select the very first entry "1. Rails" and delete it.

Modding this table is allowed after 3 Month and with approval from me.

Have fun with another Attack from Mars release :)

Wau amazing Details,, hope i can setup in my Fullscreen Cabinet....

looking great. flipper bounce and grip is really different than any other virtual version ive played. only played the real table once, rubbers seem very slippery, but I guarantee having the real cab next to you means you are more likely correct.

Error of "Could not create sound buffer for load" can be caused by sound files created in 32 bit instead of 16 bit.   I just duplicated this problem with another game by changing a wave file to 32 bit and then tried to load the game and got the same error.

I hope there are still a couple of pinballs machines next to you :-)

I'm impressed, I hope you continue to make tables.

thank you

My favourite table by a long, long way.The physics are great and the ball feels accurately 'weighty' ! Thank you!

Good evening,

It is a great table to play. However, I do not have flipper sounds. Please show me how to enable it. Thank you.

Thank you, I also love this table, it is awesome, but I experience the same issue.

Music and voice works fine,  but no mechanical sounds.

My sound settings are okay and standard as on all other tables.

Did we miss something?

Thanks again, great table :)

First up.  Thank you so much, brilliant table, my favourite version so far.  Thanks for all the hard work on this one., and if any Devs are reading - VPX - Bloody amazing! keep up the good work!

For info., my Cab (Full screen) settings in case they help anyone.  Would welcome feedback if anyone thinks these have messed up any fundamental elements - have chosen the option to remove the side rails also.

Inclination - 12
Field of View - 20
Layback - 80
XY Rot - 270
X scale - 1.085
Y scale - 1.41
Z scale - 1
X offset - -20
Y offset 4
Z offset 84

I could not even find these values in the script.  I am assuming the values are changed in the script?  When I used the "find" function, it did not return the name of the values (Inclination etc.).

I found the drop down for rails, but do not know how one goes about deleting them.

Can you offer some guidance?

Thanks

John
