I cant get it in Cabinet mode either, Thanks for the table!

the FS setup seems ok, for some reason i'm missing the sounds that go along with the game.

To fix the missing sound, you need to grab the latest taf_l7 ROM.  The latest one is 596kb, which was triple the size of the old taf_l7.zip that I had previously.

This is what I have for my FS settings on a 40" LED:

Inclination: 2
Field of View: 30
Layback: 45
XY rotation: 270
X scale: 1.1 (this is the length of the playfield)
Y Scale: 1.4 (width of playfield
X Offset: -40 (up and down position)
Y Offset: 0 (side to side)
Z Offset: 100

I'm assuming this is subject for tweaking depending on the make or size of monitor but most of the VPX tables have displayed fine
out of the box so not sure why some require adjusting.

To get cab mode open in VP, click on backdrop, click the options, then select (or deselect) the button that tells it FS vs. DT.

Great table, thanks.

Great table! looks really fine. Cabinet mode is a real tweaker though.. i try the above settings, for now it is looking really strange in cabinet

Excellent work, although the darker look took some getting used to. The extra plastics are cool. Thing toy made me smile. :)

Playing version 1 as desktop, I used the following settings:

  • Formatting- Inclination: 56, FoV: 34
  • Global- Gravity Constant: 1, Pf Friction: 0.53, Pf Elasticity: 0.21, Pf/Df Scatter: 0, Table Slope: 6.7
  • TAFPF- Friction: 0.53, Pf Elasticity: 0.21
  • Main Flippers- Mass: 1.2, Strength: 2550, Elasticity: 0.78, Elas. Fallf: 0.35, Friction: 0.4, Return Str: 0.055, Coil Ramp Up: 1, Scatter Angle: 0, End Radius: 13
  • Electric Chair scoop was nigh impossible to shoot from the right flipper, so I increased Ramp52 Top/Bottom Width to 82

TAFPF object apparently is a raised playfield, so just right click anywhere in the middle of the table to find it.

I do see a few issues: Ball is bouncing off the rear side of the left slingshot too much during an inlane return. Greed vault hits don't always register. Thing Flips is currently way off, but this might be due to vpinmame nvram data being shared with the 9.2.1 table.

Very good overall.

Thanks for the feedback Roger!  I am working on a version 1.1 with improvements.  The thing flips is a tricky one, you are correct sharing the nvram with the other versions will make it problematic.   Could you explain more what you mean by the bouncing off the back of the slingshot too much?

-Mike

Basically, if the ball touches the left slingshot at any angle that isn't straight down, when returning to the left inlane, it will bounce out of the inlane too much. I changed objects LSling and RSling to have maximum friction value of "1" to compensate, although this is probably excessive.
