Download America's Most Haunted 1.4.1
5 Votes
*** 09/23/15 ***
Added SlingShot animation
Added some very basic GI lighting effects on the playfield (nothing special, but better than nothing).
Since the forum crash, I've removed all previous versions. Just download the most recent version.

Added the use of the menu via the flippers; open the coin door, push start to go into menu mode, then either select Mouse interface or Flipper interface.

Biggest change is High Scores now work... unless someone tells me otherwise
Currently no way to reset the high scores other than using the Visual Pinball Save File Editor (hey, you gotta leave something for the next update, right? ;-) )
You don't need to download the new table. Just download the "AMH VP9 Table v1.2, Cod ver 20" and copy/paste the text into the table's script. (hey, it saves you from another 100 meg download, right?)

Don't forget the Options menu. During the attract mode of the game:
If you're savvy enough, you can just download the code file and replace the script; HOWEVER, for version 1.1 you will be missing out on three thunder sound FX if you don't download the table.

Here it is, finally and officially.
This is Spooky Pinball's/Ben Heck's: America's Most Haunted.
1. Download the v1.zip table, unzip and place in your Visual Pinball\Tables folder
2. Download the GIF pack and place the folder in your Visual Pinball\Tables folder (dir should remain named America's Most Haunted.UltraDMD)
3. Download the Music pack and extract it to Visual Pinball\Music
4. Download UltraDMD here. Follow the instructions on that page, including the XDMD downloads, but you don't need the scene builder or test table.
UltraDMD is NOT required, however I don't see the point in playing this table with no animations or score. If you're not going to use UltraDMD, I don't think you need the gifs. But, you will need the music. Make sure you place the mp3s in a folder called "Music" where you have your VP.exe (e.g. C:\program files\visual pinball\Music).
You can download UltraDMD here. Follow the instructions on that page.
If you have problems getting UDMD to work, many have said this postreally helped them.
Huge thanks to Ben Heck who allowed me and sent every single stinkin' piece of data that was in any way shape or form related to this table. Thanks to freneticamnesic for his work on the VPX version and allowing me to port his amazing artwork back to the VP9 version. Thanks to Arngrim for his DOF entries (unfortunately, unbeknowst to him, the table currently doesn't have all the work he put into the VPX version :-(; I will work on putting them in and provide an update). Thanks to everyone who helped me troubleshoot this table in the WIP thread. Forgive me for anyone I forgot to thank, it's not, I'm just very forgetful.

Don't forget the Options menu. During the attract mode of the game:
- Open the coin door (or push the End key on yourkeyboard)
- Cycle through the menus with 8 and 9 keys
- Open the menu dialog box with the 0 key (kind of like a Williams game)
If you're savvy enough, you can just download the code file and replace the script; HOWEVER, for version 1.1 you will be missing out on three thunder sound FX if you don't download the table.

What's New in Version 1.4.1 (See full changelog)
- Fixed the issue with shooting the scoop during Hotel mode not spitting the ball back out (actually it would, but you have to wait over 3 minutes).
- 1. Download the v1.4.1.zip table, unzip and place in your Visual Pinball\Tables folder

- 3. Download the Music pack and extract it to Visual Pinball\Music

200 MB. forget it.
Im puzzled, because I've unzipped the .vpt table into every VP table folder, along with the folder of GIFs (still in their folder) into every VP Tables folder on my system, I loaded up VP Launcher and although there has been one table added to the total number of tables listed in VP Launcher, maybe it's me just being a dumba$$, but I just can't find 'America's Most Haunted' in the list of tables in VPLauncher. Is it in there with another name, perhaps or (apart from a brain), am I missing something somewhere?
Best regards, always
'The' Al & Family
Specs: Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate, Asus Z97 SABERTOOTH Mark 1, Intel Core i7 -4790K, 32GB DDR3, EVGA NVidea Titan X, 28" Asus ROG.@144Hz (Rotable), VP 8 / 9.1.5 / 9.9.1 / X, VP Launcher v3.02 (718 tables (and still counting)) shown at the moment, most work, a very tiny minority don't as of yet, until I get round to figuring those few out lol).
facebook.com/Al.Gray.127 (You're ALL warmly welcome)
I'm not sure what's going on, but it doesn't work. Permission Denied on Line 60 and 67. I got the table for VP9.9, I even have everything for the table. But still... on Line 60 and 467, Permission Denied.
In the editor, click on BackDrop, then input the following numbers, starting with inclination:
12
45
60
270
1.35
1.9

200

And no ROM needed/possible. There is no emulator for a Propellor (what this game was programmed on). All coding is copied from the original and transcoded from C to VBScript.
I'm getting an error on Line 252 Variable is not defined mode start. Please help.
Download link broken? Or is it my Chrome on windows XP?
Great table, works fine other than the music. I got the DmD to work and sounds work , but still no music. I downloaded the music pack and extracted it to Visual pinball\music, they are mp3,s. All my other games use mp3's and my windows media player is working fine. Any suggestions?
Very nice table, thanks!
First time trying this one [v1.41], that I can recall, but worked inside it's own directory no adjustments, but I did install UltraDMD previously, so maybe that's important?
Super super table. Caused me alot of stress to install.
N.B.
The music files I got from the download site were .wav files and only worked after I converted them to .mp3.
Added to this they all had the wrong names and included an extra "#" symbol. I had to remove this in evry file.
(Your mileage may vary).
Make sure you have XDMD and UltraDMD installed.
Make sure that the GIFs for UltraDMD are in a .zip folder (and NOT in a normal folder /or in a folder/in a zip folder)
My .zip file is named "America's Most Haunted.UltraDMD.zip" and is placed in the Visual Pinball folder; NOT in the roms or tables folders.
Run the table and right click on the DMD to change its size/color. Then drag it where you want.
This was Windows 10. VP10.
Good Luck
First table I downloaded on the beginning of this long journey to learn to make a full virtual table. I'm hooked. Thank you.

anyone else having trouble making DOF work with this table? I've even edited my ini file to only have this one game in it and even only telling it to turn on one LED (the start button) and nothign works.
I have B2S enabled (the backglass works) and right clicking on the back glass image and checking the plugin settings DOF says its active.
Neat game BTW. I saw one of them at the Texas Pinball Festival last year but didnt get a chance to play it.
