Well, once and for all, the project is not dead, but in STANDBY. Period. I hope there is no translation mistake in here. We have a life, which is a higher priority, as it should be for any sane people.

If I continue having only "vaporware", "silence", or any other sarcasms, I will even not bother coming to the thread.

I am happy with the great expectations on our project, but frankly, this is not helping.

This is a FREE project so you can't expect a real professional schedule in here. BTW, this is why we always rejected the LARGE amount of commercial propositions about it.

So if you guys are so impatient, either code yourself a fully new simulaor, help with VP10 or continue playing TPA.

Sorry for every guy writing kind words, this post is not for to you. It's just that I can't stand anymore some guys posting sarcasm on their second post on the forum.

They are trolls trying to get a rise out of you and disrupt your project. Don't let them. What you are creating will change the way people think about virtual pinball.

Ignore the trolls.

if we can have a new version that is just compatible with latest vpm, it would be great, now it is not working anymore since we can only have one vpm at a time on our pc and we need the latest

If I continue having only "vaporware", "silence", or any other sarcasms, I will even not bother coming to the thread.

I would like to address this frankly and with no sarcasm. I read this at lunch and gathered my thoughts this afternoon before posting this tonight.

BilboX,

What kind of posts are you expecting then? There are a lot of people following this thread because your team has created a great looking simulation that people are excited to play - AND BUILD TABLES FOR! The reason for the sarcastic posts regarding vaporware and the like is probably because you have stated at times how close you are to the beta or another release (and tempting us with the new tables) - and it never seems to come to fruition. You have every right to take as long with it as possible for whatever reason you choose Its your software and your real life stuff - no one has any right to judge you on that.

However, let me remind you - this IS a forum - you know - the place where people come to interact with each other - and voice their opinions. There will be a few that im sure you wont like. If your going to put this project out there people are going to be antsy and curious for then they can have access to it. When there are no answers to questions frustration tends to set in and people start getting sarcastic.  What gets me is that this project has been in alpha for over a year now and THIS SITE has given you guys your own section for it. VPX has been in BETA for 4 months now and even though there's a TON of development going on with it,  there's STILL no dedicated section for those posts yet. That should really tell you how the COMMUNITY IS BEHIND YOU ON THIS!  If indeed this project is on standby for you and you don't like the impatient or derogatory posts - maybe these threads should be locked or removed until its reached your level of satisfaction for another release. I figured the UNITY3D section is here to discuss a working simulation- like all the other sections here (VP9, VP8, FP, BAM, CABS, etc).

I for one would love a release of another alpha or the beta that works with the latest VPPINMAME, as the version I have has been rendered inop. There are a lot of talented people on this site that could help in bringing your vision to life. Dont get me wrong, the tables your team have built are phenomenal! But imagine how big a community you would have (with posts more to your liking) if this could be used in the same nature as VPX.

Again,

NO malice was intended in this post and I hope the language difference hasn't affected that as well. I'm sure you are getting annoyed with people dumping on your thread. But as Im one of the people who follow this thread - whenever I see a post from you I cant wait to read it hoping for good news.

As well - if I've offended anyone else with my opinions - it wasn't my intent. Just wanted to put another view out there other than a sarcastic one liner for BilboX to consider.

Generally I agree with parabolic, but it's also sane to expect another release after over a year, and none mind if it's another alpha.

Projects not updated for over a year and then putted on standby usually have, at least in my experience, strange tendency to mutate into vaporvare...

I also had high hopes for your project, but frankly speaking I stopped caring few months ago.

No malice intended - just honest opinion!

Dont care too much about the negative comments. Most of the comments are positive and you need to focus on them. Its easy to get in bad mood cus of a negative comment and 100 positive comments doesent make it better. I was like that Before, but now i dont care about the negative ones. I hope you can just ignore them, because you really should.

Focus on the positive and the fact that many people are excited with anticipation for the next release, whenever that is 😃. Life priorities trump everything else. I am a fan of your efforts and wish you the best with both life, work, and the next U3D release. Don't let some comments bum you out. Have a great day Bilbo!

How in the world do I calibrate this on on my cabinet? Been trying and trying in vain. the Playfield does not seem to want to drag over to any other monitor and it seems to reach its boundary on the single monitor it displays on - which is my Backglass monitor (Display 2). So frustrating

I could be wrong, but from memory I think you need it on "Fake FullScreen All", under "Display Mode". Also I'm pretty sure you have to have a single graphics card running to both monitors.

Hi guys!

I just recompiled the latest VPM build and exported the corresponding TypeLib for UP3D.

Still working with the beta. It means that you won't need multiple VPM versions.

Had to check since it's been a while I did not rebuild it...
