Here are my problems:

1: The Future Pinball program keeps crashing after a while. The first 2 tables I load work well enough, but the location loses its textures and color on the 3rd one. If I load a 4th one, the whole program crashes. I had to close the program and open it again after every 2 tables loaded because of this.

2: I can't launch the balls onto the playfield in some tables. It's on a few of the EM pinball tables made before the mid 1960s, mostly the ones where you can see the balls themselves in the Balls Played. On some of the tables, I can get one ball in the playfield by pressing Special 1, but even that doesn't work on some tables.

3: The plunger doesn't work on some tables. I hear the sound the plunger makes, but the plunger doesn't move at all. It's only on a few tables, though.

4: Some tables say they are missing sound files, and I think I need to download them from somewhere, but I don't know how to get these files.

I believe the files are called the following.

EM-sounds-basic.fpl

EM-sounds-bally.fpl

EM-sounds-gottlieb.fpl

EM-sounds-williams.fpl

Can anyone help me out with fixing those problems I'm having with Future Pinball?

Make sure you open and close Future pinball every time you want to open a new game....

fpl files - go in the Libraries folder

That doesn't really help. It still feels slow to load each table only to close and open the program again just to play on one more table.

Also, I still can't find the sound files I need.

They load slower than VP

The plunger doesn't work on some tables.  -- Some tables were not designed to work with a plunger

I still can't find the sound files I need.  - The Sound files should come with the game when you download it, but not all games have separate Sound files

What  game is missing the sound files.... add link to the game

What are your computer specs and video card?

I actually downloaded a large pack full of pinball tables, so it's a bit hard to point you to each individual table contained in there, but I CAN tell you about my computer specs.

I have Windows 10, 64-bit containing an Intel Xeon CPU W3530 processor.

This is the problem with downloading tables in packs, instead of from the download page they originated on.

You may have outdated tables and or missing files that went with tables. And there may have been useful info on the tables download page.

The crashing upon loading tables problem has become worse. Since I moved on to playing 1980s tables, the program crashes whenever I try to load a second table. Because of this, I now have to restart the program every single time I want to play another table.

Hi Touchmaster. The crashing is normal in FP. If you want to alternate between differnt tables you need to download a front end like PinballX which closes and reopens fp between picking tables automatically so that you dont have to go through all the time wasting.

PinballX? Sounds useful. Where can I download it?

Hi Touchmaster, i used this guide from Terry Red below. It is excellent if you have a cab. If not you wont need Bam. In which case the executable file in pinballx will be futurepinball and not fploader and the working path will just be to future pinball.

Some names would be apprecied. And, sometime, to read the table info can help.
