first of I have say Big thank you to Drakko for his Future Pinball version.
I used so much of his resources that I would almost call this a Future Pinball to VPX conversion. So much that I decided to give him co author credits.

Another big thank you to JpSalas and his VP9 version.

PLEASE READ
The Spin-out ramp code was copied from JPsalas vp9 version.  I sent an early build of the table to Jp and asked for help fine-tuning it for me.  The ramp will work
9 out of 10 times.  In that one occasion, the ball will get stuck,  a quick nudge in your part and the ball will be kicked out.  I tired to use other methods to build the ramp
but I did not get any improved results.  If the ramp is not up to your standards feel free to rebuild it.  Many fans of this table including myself will be more than grateful for a fully working.
100% accurate response.

final note
big thank you to sawbill for mapping the GI and flasher lights and his physics tweaks recommendations.

What's New in Version 2.0 (See full changelog)

  • 1.1 physics update
  • 2.0
  • more physics tweaks
  • few new toys and spinout ramp update by Ninuzzu

What a Masterpiece!!!

Could you make "Lights Camera Action" for VPX?

I really want to play that table in High res. (Like TPA)

:) Thx

Wow!  Thanks for this, 32A!

Was looking forward to this one - thank you very much to everyone involved.

Thank you so much for providing this great pinball!

"Taxi" is one of my favorites of all times and i am so grateful to you and all the others "pinball wizards" contributing your work.

i immediately uploaded VPX to my cabinet.

two things i noticed though:

- the plastic piece covering the "spinout" in your implementation is not transparent. this prevents us from seeing the ball circling in the spinball. if i remember correctly from the real machine, this cover was transparent so you would see the ball. in the VPX editor i changed this piece to a 80% transparency on my copy of the file. may be you want to think about adapting this modest chane in one of the subsequent versions.

- i noticed a significant difference in game play when comparing your VPX implementation to the existing VPFS version made by JPSALAS:

if the ball comes down the left inner "Sanat Clause" lane, in the VPX implementation the ball does not hit the flipper but unfortunately goes straight to the exit gap between the two flippers. this is a pitty and if i - again - remember correctly is a slight deviation from the real "Taxi"pinball machine.

nevertheless, i am happy you have created such a fine pinball adaption and i am looking forward to more of your work.

Thank you---loveTaxi. I"m experiencing problems with the flippers on this table where they will "stick" in the up position. I just downloaded the latest beta of VPX I might add.

Just found a minor bug in the playfield:

The ball can get stuck at the most southern point of the "spinout". There seems to be a slight trough and once its lying there, you cannot even nudge it out of it.

Thanks 32assassin. Your work is amazing. Really appreciate that you share your work.

One minor thing I noticed on this table: the flippers are a bit transparents (you can see it on the provided screenshot). Changing the material from plastic>plastic white solved this pb.

Excellent recreation. Great work 32assassin and thank you for sharing.
