Awesome news for Zaccaria Pinball Fans. Magic Pixel (formerly A.S.K. Homework) has launched an IndieGoGo campaign. This one is bound for success: They're running their contributions window for two months. Their funding goal for PC is really reasonable: $10,000. Just seven hours in, and we're already 3% of the way there!

VPX is absolutely the king in my book. I play VP daily; read and post here daily. I couldn't appreciate this community more. And, it's always great to have another "crayon in the box." Really hoping some of you folks will jump in with a contribution for Magic Pixel, if your personal finances permit. Zsolt (the big cheese over at Magic Pixel) is a really good guy -- super responsive on the forums.

Cheers!

:D

Just threw down a bit on it as well!

Hope it actually gets enough for cab support...

What will the game cost on Steam? Would it be cheaper to buy it via Indigogo?

Welcome Zsolt.

Just noticed you updated the IndieGoGo page to confirm portrait mode at the 10k level which is great news...

"$10.000 - Instant release of PC version with 38 pinball tables, graphics and physics tweaks, portrait and landscape modes, local multiplayer, controller support"

Can I just check please if the configurable savable camera views will also be possible? Also will we be able to re-assign keys that control the menus and play?

Hey Zolt!

Will physics and lighting for PC be direct ports from iOS? Thanks! Can't wait for this.

Yes, it is cheaper of course. Zaccaria Pinball will be minimum $35 on Steam.

Both features will be available in the first release.

The physics engine will be the same, maybe some value of physics calculations will be higher to be more accurate.

The lightmaps (lighting) will be re-rendered on a higher resolution.

Great news about configurable cameras in first release. Really effective system. Love it in iPad.

Based on some posts in the PinballArcadeFans forum (some of which had linked me to information that's above in this VPForums thread),   in my own post of

http://pinballarcade...ll=1#post234126     (the post that has my name of seattlemark )

, I gave my reasons today of why I feel that this is basically a "guaranteed/no-risk pre-Order at a savings of at least $10", and I described why I joined early in the campaign rather than waiting.

Last day to grab all the upcoming Zaccaria tables on PC for 25 bucks. Amazing deal, imo. They'll be more expensive when they come out on Steam, but you can get a Steam code by contributing on Indiegogo at the 25 dollar level.

These guys are cool dudes. Wish there was more support for this. The iOS app is amazing, and the PC version promises to be stellar.

Yup, somehow sad. I liked the look of their tables a lot. And also awesome that they picked such a niche pin-company for their app!

The lack of support they got is sad and totally undeserved. Such a pity indeed.

Zsolt and company have a lot of integrity. I'm sure they'll follow through with Steam codes for Indiegogo contributors. But man, it would have been inspiring to see the pinball community support their effort. That said, it's amazing that our devs make the most amazing platform as a gift to its players. Very grateful!

Good news is they posted an update:

"As you can see the campaign has been ended. Thank all of you for your support!

All backers will get a Steam code. As well as Art books and T-Shirts will be mailed to you. Detailed information will be coming soon.

The first release of Windows build will include 38 pinball tables, graphics and physics tweaks, portrait and landscape modes, local multiplayer, controller support.

Linux and MAC builds will be coming after Windows build.

Extra game modes, online multiplayer support, cabinet support and editor support will be implemented later."

https://www.indiegog...-linux#/updates

So welldone to everyone who supported it.
